Was here seven years ago and had good memories...it is still as good. Five minutes to Shin-Osaka and easy to find. Much space and the staff sorts the guest very nice. So you get silence, if you want it. Wifi is OK and the furntiure in the lobby is a bit worn out, but fine. One of the best points is the Onsen, it really helps up in the morning ;o) Whenever I come by Shinkansen, I will stay here.

Location is good if you're needing to be near Shin Osaka station, not so good if you want to be nearer the heart of Osaka. It's sort of like a YMCA with curfews and rules - make sure you read their description and are okay with that. Good for sensible people who like a good nights sleep, not so good for party animals. The common bathroom is like a Japanese style sento (google images that) with so be okay with potentially bathing naked with strangers or friends. Clean and relatively spacious.

This hostel was very accommodating. I arrived very late and they made sure someone was there to let me in. The lockers couldn't fit all of my things but as I was the only one in my dorm, it was okay. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. They have a tradition Japanese bath if you're feeling adventurous but western showers as well. Breakfast ends super early which was inconvenient.

Stayed here for 3 nights after being in Tokyo before going back home. The location is in a super convienent location. The staff there can speak English and always say hello to you in the hallways. You are given sheets for your bed that you return at check out. The showers are one big room with a onsen (hot tub) but if you want privacy they have 1 individual separate shower room. However no wifi on the 9th floor so many people relax in the lobby. Will stay here again if I'm in Osaka.

    Fabulous

Good: nice staff, rooms are clean, AC/heat works very well, location is 4 min walking from Shin-Osaka station (take the East Exit - where the JR local/regional lines exit), decently priced for a short stay, nice onsen in bathroom, decently priced food nearby and lots of convenience stores Bad: no real atmosphere (everyone is very in and out here), hot shower/tap water very limited so plan accordingly, no wifi in rooms (there is decent wifi in the lobby though)

    Good

Appreciative as it was a last minute booking on my part. The hostel is located on the upper floors of what appears to be a youth community centre. The staff were helpful to a minimum. Facility itself is clean. The one suggestion I would warn about is that elevators shut down at midnight apparently and there is no stairwell access; So not an ideal hostel if you have plans to go bar hopping with buddies especially if you're scrambling to get back so you don't get locked out til 6 am.
