One of the best places we’ve stayed at in South Africa. We got a free upgrade to an ensuite private room. The woman working reception was so sweet, helpful, and thoughtful. She went out of her way to help my friend who has serious allergies to down feathers. She found us blankets and checked in to make sure everything was okay. Beds were hella comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked. Everything was very clean. It smelled clean. Building was beautiful.

One of the best hostel I have ever stay. I was with Loop 91 for few days and change to another air Bnb place but before I left Cape Town I have to come back to stay with them. The staff are friendly and helpful and the bathroom are always clean. I stayed at the pods room and the bed is spacious with high privacy. There is a restaurant downstairs and for guest who stayed at the hostel will get 20% discount and the food was nice. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the Loop 91.

It was like a mini hotel for someone who usually stays in the backpacker dorms. Private rooms only. Helpful smiley staff - thanks guys! Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, comfy beds, fast wifi, free offstreet parking, close to Simonstown shops and penguins. Easy to drive to Cape Point or Cape Town..

We loved this place--extended our stay by one night because we were so happy and comfortable --olivia the concierge is so sweet and helpful, and the rooms, kitchen, and bathrooms are clean and inviting to use. Highly recommended !

Simon‘s Town Backpackers is a characteristic, old-school hostel - the wooden floor implies immediately a warm atmosphere, service is friendly and relaxed, spacious rooms and facilities, and the balcony with seaview is the ideal spot to hang out after whatsoever activity.

    Fabulous

It is a nice place, walking distance to the train station, good base for visiting cape of good hope/peninsula. Due to off-season the town was kind of deserted as was the hostel which made our stay a little weird. Our room (double room ensuite) was nice and clean, the balkony is for the whole floor though, so airing the room felt uncomfortable (especially during the night). Kitchen is well equipped and clean.

It was a very nice hostel to stay. We slept in a private room with a twin and a queen size bed. You hear every noise from next door or in the floor but the house rules say that you should be quiet at 10:30pm. Great located at the beach with sweet little shops around. I would stay there again!

There was confusion in our booking ,even though we had a confirmed e mail determining our length of stay, we had to for check out a day early as they sold the room. Suggest making sure the person doing intake check her hand written book.
