Overview

Set in a cool Art Nouveau building, Sir Toby's Hostel is the place to get the best of Prague! (We've got our own pub, music quizzes and free community dinners, that is.) We've got friendly staff who have lots of restaurant tips up their sleeves, and a free walking tour. Pop into the homely, brick-walled bar to meet other travellers over a Czech beer – it's as much of a social hub as our well equipped kitchen! And when it's sunny, you can make the most of our outdoor terrace.

Location

We're in the fun Holešovice area, with hot spots like the indie Cross Club and Holešovická Tržnice farmers' market adding to the neighbourhood's character. You can jump on a tram a couple of blocks away that'll whisk you to the centre in 10 minutes. Get off at the Dlouhá Třída stop and you'll be an 11-minute walk from the famous Astronomical Clock. The city's tram system will take you from Václav Havel Airport Prague to Sir Toby's in about an hour door to door.

Rooms and Dorms

Flying solo or in a small group? We have private singles as well as rooms for up to three people. You can also choose a comfy bunk in one of our mixed or female-only dorms. Some rooms and dorms have en-suites, while others have shared bathrooms. You'll have bedding and a locker included, and you can hire a towel from our 24-hour reception.

Extras and activities

There's lots to keep you entertained at Sir Toby's, from the daily social activities (think games nights and beer tours) to barbecues. Other extras include free Wi-Fi, free coffee and tea all day long and a DVD selection to browse. Only here for a few days? Tag along to one of our twice-weekly walking tours to tick off the main sights or grab a customised city map.

A really good find. The reception staff Ridoy and Elena are super helpful. They have so much knowledge about cool things to check out. We had a private room with REAL coffee, not the fake stuff. It was super clean and comfy. This place will be at the top of my hitlist to stay again

Why 10? There is no perfect hostel. However, at this time, Sir Toby's is a great hostel experience. There are two major signs it is doing well: 1. People want to stay longer than they had planned. 2. There are lots of returning guests. I loved it because it was easy to make new friends there. It's a cozy old place with a soul - and a garden. It has lots of common areas and sociable, considerate staff. Elena, the manager is excellent at her job.

Wow, where to start, I should probably start with the hostel's manager, she was amazing, they've even let me check in really early around 5a.m.. There were some misunderstandings at a time but still it's the crazy time of Corona so it's understandable. Thanks for having me!

Very friendly and helpful staff that really wanted me to have a good stay. They gave good recommendations on what to do in the city based on my interests. Clean and fresh facilities. Good security with lockers down in the reception.

    Fabulous

    Fabulous

Nice hostel in an up-and-coming quarter a bit outside the city centre. Rooms were nice and clean. The vibe is in between vintage (reception), stylish (bathrooms) and cosy (bar/kitchen area in the basement). There's also a little backyard and a computer/sofa lounge by the reception, so lots of places to hang out and connect. Main drawback would be that the area is a little cut-off from the rest of the city; it's a 30 minutes walk from the main station but the tramway goes every ten minutes or so.

    Fabulous

Stay was excellent. It was affordable too. Staffs were friendly. But there was a little bad smell from the dormitory room and bathroom. Otherwise the stay and kitchen was good. You can buy a bottle of beer from Zabka( a nearby store) as the price was double at the residence.
