I liked it well enough to extend my initial 4-night stay to 12.

    Superb

The reception is very welcoming both from the visual and human. The rooms, on the other hand, left me with different pleasures, whether it was room air, bathroom access, or light penetration. The pool is super. The kitchen is very narrow. The social areas are somewhat improvised. The entire house is a jigsaw puzzle, so to speak, but it is being rebuilt. However, the price, the location, the view of the city and the staff earned full marks. A hostel with potential. Thank you!

    Fabulous

I enjoyed my stay in a private room, which was clean and comfy. A good highlight is that it was silent and I could sleep and rest after a really long travel. The only kind of bad thing I have to say is that we didn’t receive any instructions about the kitchen utensils and other details regarding the usage of facilities when we arrived. In general there was a good atmosphere and the mornings were lovely.

So so cold overnight. They give you the thinnest blanket and there's no heat. Plus reception closes at 8pm so you can't go ask someone for another blanket.

Good location and really lovely staff. The room we were in had a lot of window and the door was glass so we could hear people outside till the early hours of the morning. Also spotted a few bugs about the place. Although we had a nice stay

    Very Good

Somewhere to Stay was a very social place, ideal for young twenty-somethings who can afford to trade comfort for the opportunity to meet other travelers and network. I'm a little older, and I found the accomodations a bit sparse, and the common use areas were a little less clean than I would like.

    Good

Stayed here in August and at night the rooms were freezing, had to ask for more blankets. I only stayed here a few nights but if I stayed in Brisbane longer I probably would have moved hostel due to coldness and for the rooms not being very clean. There was mould on the ceiling of my room. The best part of the hostel is the other backpackers/ guests as everyone was nice and welcoming.

Staff made no effort beyond basic check-in instructions towards making the stay more enjoyable. Dorm appeared dirty and had a note saying for backpackers to take their things off the floor in preparation for a clean that was dated one month before my stay.

If more for people who are staying long term. It felt like we were staying in someone’s bedroom. Not for short term stay

The place stinks of weed and is designed for very hippy people. I didn’t feel safe once as our bedroom door didn’t close properly which meant it was freezing at night, it doesn’t help they only provide one thin blanket and reception have weird opening hours. Despite this the lady at reception was lovely. The people here are friendly but it’s not what you want when you’re busy and need to be up early the next morning but people are still being loud at 3am. Good atmosphere if that’s what you like.
