Stayokay is located right at the Central which is near to roam around the city attractions. The beds are clean and property is well maintained. Staff is helpful and polite. Please carry a locker if you're planning to stay at this hostel because they charges 5 euros additional. Rest all Ok at stayokay

Great location. Bed was fine. I was in a 12 ppl dorm which had some snoring but I guess that’s life! Had a big locker next to my bed which could fit a big backpack. Socket and light next to each bunk was nice. Hangers for coats. Bathrooms were not super clean but not disgusting. They have a rule of no drugs at the hostel which I really appreciated. The only issue I had was that a lot of guys went to the female toilets/showers. Maybe the hostel can make better signs for it.

The price for 5 nights was 130, but I booked 2 nights because I wanted to see in the hostel before paying for extra nights. When I got to the hostel I asked for to book the extra days and they wanted a lot more money, I booked just the extra Saturday and they wanted 57!! Just for that night alone.. I feel like they knew I wasn't going to go to the trouble of leaving that moment. And charged me more. I spent my ither 2 days at another hostel. Also I had a hoody and hat stolen from the lounge.

Just one point I really concert about it because there isn’t any Tampax in the whole hostel. No machines to buy it and nothing to buy in the reception. Very bad when you are in emergency at night and have no options at all. But everything was great :)

The people, location and atmosphere were great. My husband and I booked a twin room but it was located al the way at the 4th floor with tons of stairs (not fun when you have luggage). The room was extremely cold but the front desk kindly provided a space heater which helped. Bathroom was clean but smelled like urine the whole time, slightly off putting

Great reception and bar area, but the bathroom had dirty toilet paper in the sink and the room had an electrical socket that was practically hanging from the wall, which my daughter nearly plugged her phone into until I luckily saw it. We would stay again, but only if we literally just needed to rest our heads for a few hours, as basic is understating it.

Stay Not Okay. Dirty toilets, dirty showers, grimey washing area with no soap, no hand towels, muddy floors. Locker room smell and I got my towel stolen while it was drying so couldn’t have a shower. Not the friendliest of atmospheres but bed was comfortable. Top bunks are very difficult to climb down from even for a 5’11” person... Wouldn’t book again.

Stayokay Amsterdam Stadsdoelen says

I think what puts us ahead of the rest is all about location, location, location - we're in a monumental canal house on one of the canals near the Red Light District. You'll be right in the centre but it's still quiet enough to have a good night's sleep.
There's so much to see within 350 metres of our hostel, like the Red Light District, Rembrandtplein, the famous flower market, Nieuwmarkt and more. During the day I definitely recommend checking out the flea market at Waterlooplein or taking a boat trip through the canals. At night then I usually tell people to go to the famous club, Escape, on Rembrantplein, or to the smaller club, Studio 80, on the same square. We have free walking tours to help you discover it all! Plus, our reception has museum tickets available at discounted prices. Rob, Manager
