Hostelworld says

Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark is near the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum and the nightlife of Leidseplein, with a view overlooking Vondelpark. There are several buses and trams nearby which go across the city. Hostelworld guests tell us this hostel offers great value for money, 'a nice mix for international visitors' and that they'd recommend it 'if you want a quiet night in Amsterdam'. We particularly like their highly-praised, typically Dutch breakfast of cheese, meats, eggs and more.

Location

We're just a 10-minute stroll from two of Europe’s best art museums: the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. When you’ve had your fix of culture (and Instagram's up to date), dance into the late (or early) hours at the famous Leidseplein square, where legendary venues like Paradiso, Melkweg and Jimmy Woo are only 10 minutes' walk away. The buses and trams stop near our hostel so exploring the outskirts of the city is easy.

Rooms and Dorms

Whether you book one of our private rooms or choose a mixed or single-sex dorm, you'll find airy spaces with high ceilings, unique décor and original wall art. All of our rooms have en-suite bathrooms, plus individual lockers for keeping your belongings under padlock and key. Don't worry if you forget your lock: you can buy one from reception. Fresh bed linen's included too. We're nice like that.

Extras and activities

Treat yourself to a hot meal and a cold drink with your new travel companions in our laidback Brasserie Bite & Drink. Our beer is among the cheapest in town and we have a happy hour every day! Start an international tournament on our pool, foosball and air hockey tables – and use the free Wi-Fi or public computers to celebrate (or commiserate) with your mates back home. Coming to the end of your Dutch adventure? Drop by our coin-operated launderette before you leave, to freshen up your backpack wardrobe.

Okay, after 22 hours of planes and trains — this hostel was the light at the end of the tunnel. The staff was kind; everything was nice and clean; the beds were comfortable. Not to mention, the location was amazing. If you plan on spending most of your stay in the Jordaan District, this is the hostel for you — and the ever lively Vondel Park is right next door. I 100% would come back again.

Brilliant stay at this hostel, last came here in 2016 for a night and have stayed again yesterday. It now looks amazing post refurbishment and the rooms are clean, tidy and well set up. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm and there's ample storage for personal items (remember to bring a padlock!). Location is pretty central, 30 min walk to Amsterdam Centraal or red light district, which we didn't mind as Amsterdam is so pretty to explore.

Aside from some problems with the wifi everything was great. Good access to the park and public transport was 5 minutes walking. Everything was very clean and the bar was nice too.

Pretty chilled hostel next to vondelpark. Didn't have much interaction with the other guests, though I didn't really spend much time in the hostel bar

I had a decent stay here. My problems with the hostel are that the breakfast is so expensive for what is offered (7 euro) and that the room I am staying in was on the tope floor with skylight... normally, I would be all for sustainability and natural light, but when the sun rises at 4am and it is suddenly very bright in your room it is difficult to get sleep.

Great location and super clean, but some unhelpful staff and no communal area with cooking facilities forcing guests to spend money at their restaurant (not good if you’re on a budget)

Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark says

I think our most unique feature is that we're partly located in a monumental chalet building from which you have a stunning view over the Vondelpark. We're in the middle of things but still very quiet.
Our location means we're right in the city centre of Amsterdam and very close the Leidseplein (the entertainment area), Museumplein (Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum) and a lot of shopping streets. So if you want to go out and shop, eat, drink, visit museums or cruise through the canals, everything is just around the corner.
During the day I recommend that our visitors either rent a bike to discover the city like a local or take a boat trip through the canals. At night I like the famous Melkweg or Paradiso music venues.
I'd say we're ideally suited for backpackers and groups aged 18 to 30, and we cater for people with special needs or disabilities. Rob, Manager
