Hostelworld says

Hostelworld guests often compare Stayokay Amsterdam Zeeburg to a hotel, saying it's spacious and clean and serves a very highly praised breakfast of 'eggs, cheese, ham, freshly pressed orange/apple juice' and more. Visitors tell us the hostel 'has excellent tram and bus connections and all the main attractions are on the same tram line', putting it about 10 minutes by tram from the very centre of Amsterdam. We like that there is a reading light and power socket at each dorm bed, with decor that's been described as 'beautiful and modern and...well taken care of'.

Property Description

This HI hostel is situated east of the centre in a typical Amsterdam neighbourhood. The city's must-see attractions are a fifteen-minute cycle or tram trip away. The tram stops only 200m from here, putting us just 10 minutes from Rembrandt Square.

You can take a tour of the canals by boat, visit world-famous museums or head off shopping along the colorful Kalverstraat - and there's always plenty to do at the hostel in the evening!

We’re housed in an amazing building, a former school dating from around 1900. This enables visitors to enjoy the ultra-modern facilities in classical settings.

The bedrooms are all spacious and feature private sanitary facilities. All rooms are designed by the famous Dutch designer Edward van Vliet.

Our hostel also has its own cafe/restaurant and is sharing the building with a cinema and theatre - a truly fantastic entertainment combination!

Bicycle rental is available at the reception.

Stayokay Amsterdam Zeeburg says

I think what guests like the most about our hostel is our price and quality. The rooms are clean and safe, there is free Wi-Fi. In our bar you can meet other travellers and play a game of pool or darts. The hostel has a bike rental service, which is a great way to get around the city! Our staff is very experienced and willing to help you find your way around the city. At the reception lots of things are available like towels, tickets for museums and attractions, public transport tickets and the Amsterdam card or City Pass.
Around the hostel there are some interesting things to do and see. For example, there is a cinema next door and a real Dutch windmill in walking distance. This is a good photo stop and it gets even better; it's also a beer brewery! At 'Brouwerij 't IJ' they make their own local Amsterdam beer and of course you can have a taste there on their sunny terrace.
For some culture you can take a short walk to the Royal Tropical Institute (Tropenmuseum). The permanent and temporary exhibitions display (art) objects, photographs, music and film from non-western cultures. Did you know that there are people with over 180 different nationalities living in Amsterdam?
Guests of all ages are welcome in our hostel. Over the last 5 years that the hostel is open, we have welcomed guests from 0 to 88 years. Most guests are between 18 and 30 years old. This is a wheelchair-friendly building and there is an elevator available. There are also several wheelchair-accessible rooms available for people with special needs or disabilities.

Latest Review

" My first time actually staying at a dorm room for more than a few hours, and I enjoyed it. Reception doesn't rent towels here, but you can buy one. Same with locks for securing your things in lockers. That makes it more expensive, and now I have an extra towel / lock. The place is rather quiet. Breakfast is good, but early (7-10), and if you come around 10, some food may be gone. Only downside is that it's a bit far to walk from the city center. You can take a tram, but trams are expensive.
