We liked staying at this hostel so much we booked an extra night. Warm, clean, good breakfast, wonderful old building, and fantastic location right at base of Stirling Castle. Staff was wonderful and even helped with our heavy luggage. The city of Stirling is beautiful and close to other places to visit such as Wallace Monument and Doune Castle. I would definitely stay here again!!

I've slept on more comfortable hostel mattresses, however, don't let that deter you because it really is a great place! It's clean, has a good laundry room, food was good, and the staff was AWESOME.

Great facility, clean private room. I liked that the private room had its own washroom and shower. Great location. Its on a hill, but located between the central city and train station and the Holy Rude and Stirling Castle. The only thing I noticed they could improve is security for luggage storage.

Hostel was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is right by Stirling Castle. One negative is there were only two power outlets for the whole six bed dorm. Fortunately, only one other person was in our dorm, so we each used one. Overall, great stay.

    Fabulous

The hostel is a good value for money, clean and nice staff. Unfortunately the floor is very squeaky and there were a couple of (noisy) groups arriving late. Additionally the alarms on the doors seem to go off at random when opening/closing the door so just make sure you bring your earplugs with you. Location is great, basically in the middle of the city just up the hill. Short walk to shops, busses or the castle

Location is perfect, close to the castle and the city centre. Staff wasn't very kind nor helpful. Didn't even take time to check me out. Feels more like a hotel than a hostel. Apart from that, it's got everything you'd expect from a hostel. Having the shower in the room is very nice when travelling for a long time.

Lovely location. Some staff somewhat indifferent. Kitchen not as well supplied as in some other hostels: for example, no teapot, no cooking spoon. Rooms rather pokey and cramped. Overall reasonable, but could be better

    Very Good

Typical of what you might expect for a larger hostel in terms of facilities but room cleanliness left a lot to be desired. We had to wash the toilet and wipe down walls by bunks for obviously visible debris. Staff informative and cheerful and self catering kitchen very well equipped and spacious.

Pros: lovely staff, good location, amazing shower pressure. Cons: creaking floor, old rooms, too hot in the rooms. Overall not really worth the price for a private room but maybe for a shared room is not too bad...
