The staff were always great, helpful and easy going. They even helped me change my coins from busking. The hostel itself is a really interesting building. Some of the reviews I see on here must be people who really expect too much from a hostel. Ok it’s an old building so ask yourself do you need your surroundings to look modern and pristine? If so then it may not be the place for you. I have travelled four years, seen many hostels in Europe and this is one of the best.

If you sleep in the dorm, know that the lockers are tiny and not located in the dorms.

Good hostel and super helpful staff. Facilities could improve a bit to reach general Estonian standards, particularly regarding the toilets.

Showers could be kept a little bit cleaner, a trash bin in them would be helpful. Room was spacious but it does face the bar downstairs so bring earplugs.

The hostel was very quiet when I went there, not many people around. The room was very noisy at night during weekend. Room and hostel itself are beautiful, and location is perfect.

Good location near bus station and not too far from the beach. No real atmosphere but clean and comfortable. Annoying that we had to leave keys everytime you leave

Nice building with a cool medieval aesthetic. The staff are pleasant and the beds are fine. Two major problems: 1) The state of the basement common room and kitchen were DISGUSTING. I could barely breathe in there because of a mould infestation and it was dripping wet. The staff member said they were 'looking into it' but I was there 3 days and it didn't change. In desperate need of a dehumidifier and a scrub. 2) Ground level bedroom looks out onto a street and weekend noise is unbearable.

There's zero ventilation in the common area/kitchen basement. The smell of moisture, mold, and mildew was unbearable. It's been ages since the dorm has seen a proper cleaning. At least the staff was friendly and helpful, and that the shower was nice. I'm grateful for the cheap bed to sleep on but would not recommend staying in the dorm for more than 1 night.

This place is SO run down. It has gorgeous potential and lovely staff, but the mattresses are older than me, there’s nothing to cook with in the sad kitchen (utensils or spices), body soap in the showers was empty... quite generally it feels like it needs a good wash and a cash injection. Also, there is no vibe. The communal area is sadly abandoned, no music etc. The upsides: Free towels Hot water Kind staff Good location (though, it’s hard to find a bad location in this town)
