Property Description

The Subraum Hostel itself is situated in Peter-Weiss-Haus, a historical building that once was part of Rostocks brewery. Nowadays Peter-Weiss-Haus houses subraum Hostel, a few non-profits, events like concerts and theatre performances, a beer garden and a café - you can enjoy yourself here without ever leaving the building.
The next supermarket is just across the street. You can also buy organic groceries in the nearest strip mall, about 12 minutes on foot.

Subraum Hostel ist located in the heart of Kröpeliner-Tor-Vorstadt (KTV), the trendy district of Rostock. In KTV you'll find a multitude of bars, restaurants, sidewalk cafés and clubs. Rostocks port, the strip mall and multiple parks are within walking distance of the hostel. Most university campuses, too, are close enough to be reached by walking. If you fancy visiting the ocean, you'll just have to hop into Rostocks well connected tram system. Alternatively you can also rent a bike from us for getting around.

In subraum hostel you can choose between 6 and 12 bed rooms. Both types are on the ground floor and are furnished with bunk beds, desks, chairs and lockers. very nice place! a creative spot for young open minded people. in the best quarter of Rostock. the only bad thing was one of the guests, so no fault of the hostel. I also met some nice international guys with whom I cooked together in the cool kitchen. I recommend the hostel; especially for the events in the Peter Weiss Haus - a good adress! have fun there :)

A great hostel, with a slightly unusual style. - The well-equipped kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, and nice dorms more than make up for the lack of a lounge!

Very interesting location. It is rustic but not in a country-side way more in a sails man's. I would recommend it because of the experience. The facility was good everything clean and the staff friendly and nice.

The room was clean and tidy. The only disadvantage was that there was a lot of people talking in the middle of the night really loudly right in front of the window, but the hostel was overall a nice place to stay. Would definitely come back again when I revisit Rostock.

Beautiful old building only 15 min walk from the Rostock historical centre. Easy to get to from the ZOB, just jump on the 5 tram. Everything is super clean and staff are friendly

    Fabulous

The shared six-bed dorm was quite cramped (and bunkbeds were three-high), but this didn't really negatively impact our stay much. The dorm windows open right out onto the pavement, so it could be a bit noisy at times, and the showers were shared which was a bit unusual. That being said, we had a good stay here - the staff were friendly, and the cafe had a great beer garden that showed all of the World Cup games on a big screen.

    Fabulous

Quite okay. It's in some kind of a semi-basement of an old brewery besides a road with a tramway line. So don't expect a super lit up modern hostel in a quite environment, but for some nights it's gonna be okay!

    Very Good

    27 Jul 2018
The dorm rooms are very crowded and stuffy. Perhaps the lower occupancy rooms are more spacious. The staff are very helpful and there is a nice grocery store directly across the street. The best feature about staying here is the fantastic outdoor “beer garden”!attached.! A very welcoming and friendly atmosphere with reasonable prices for drinks and food.

Clean, fast internet and nice kitchen. But the staff was not in the hostel (you have to call him). So obviously it's a serious problem with security. We had a drunk group of guys yelling and smashing the front door, but since nobody working at the hostel was here, we had to handle them.
