Amazing experience with a very nice family! We loved staying here even though it was very hot! Food was great and exploring the island was a lot of fun. Highly recommend this for getting a real taste of Fiji outside of a resort!

This place is amazing! The family is so friendly, we had some great entertainment on our last night with dancing and a fire show and we just LOVED it! We took the sea bus from Lautoka. It’s 120 dollars and that includes transport to and from your accommodation on mainland. It’s 120 even if you get to Lautoka yourself. We met some really cool people, and swam with sharks! They have loads of activities you can do but it’s also a great place just to chill in a hammock :) Recommends this place!

Beautiful little place! Very nice family keeping a homestay on an amazing paradise island. The facilities were simple, just enough for having a good holiday. Food was good (even vegetarian on request) and it's nice that they want everyone to sit together at breakfast and dinner. Gives everyone a good opportunity to make friends with the other guests as well as with the grandpa of the family (who is a real personality, so nice!). No locked boxes to hold your valuables at the dorm, which I missed.

We enjoyed it here a lot. It's location is beautiful and blue lagoon is a good walk away. And there are plenty of trips if that is what you like. It is kept clean but the facilities are old so if you're fussy it'll be tough for you. Lice works so hard she is great. Breakfast is included and you can order lunch and tea (tea is 15 dollars and is pretty good). It has its eccentricities so if you want a place to stay that is vanilla this probably isn't for you.

If you truly want to live with locals and get to know their culture this is the place. Despite the lack of hot water for a shower, the dorm capacity (is actually for 12 and not 6) and uncomfortable beds, the beautifulness of the island and the lovely family that owns the place make me have a great time in Nanuya Lailai. There is a 15min walk to get to the other side of island, the blue lagoon (totally worth it). Every night the did a local performance and we had meals every guest together.

We got money stolen from us in a locked private room. Definitely a bummer during a trip, almost couldn't afford the rest of our trip on the Yasawas cuz that was our main budget. Friendly staff but not really wanting to help regarding the money.

Not really a homestay, just a dorm and some cabins in a village. Dorm had mosquito nets, but the cabins didn't. Meals eaten with other tourists, food was good, and great music from Nick. Not many people in the village, not much interaction. Recommend the kayak around the island at high tide, although paddles were broken. Swimming at Blue Lagoon lovely, a hot 15 minute walk away. Frustrating trying to organise a fishing trip - we wanted to support the locals, but couldn't get a straight answer
