Excellent ryokan! Very clean with a great atmosphere, I couldn't dream for any better! We arrived 1 night earlier than our check in date (31/01) and of course almost every rooms of Tokyo were booked on that day but the Tadaima team invited us to celebrate NYE with them and leave our luggage there. Then we spent 5 comfortable nights in the ryokan. My only regret is that I didn't get to eat more of Shinji's breakfast in the morning. Really good place, I recommend it.

This was a great place to start our Japan trip. The neighborhood is so cute, with little alleys full of cozy bars/restaurants. Our favorite was a small bar managed by a woman named Yoko who makes the best karaage ever. The rooms are SNUG, but cozy. Bedrolls are v comfortable. If you book a 2-person room, request one with a window. The staff here was excellent and super helpful. The add-on breakfast is delicious and a fun option to try for part (or all) of your stay. Overall great experience.

Absolutely loved the Taidama Ryokan, the staff are fantastic and always willing to help with directions or any other issues. Right near a Tokyo metro station and a 10 minute walk to the nearest JR rail pass station. Hostel is incredibly clean, the rooms are nice and spacious, very traditional and just what you want. Would highly recommend staying here, loved my time and would return.

Friendly staff, close walking distance to the Marunouchi subway line and a 30 minute walk to Shinjuku if you want to take the scenic route. There is a grocery store close by and several restaurant options to choose from.

We had a nice stay at Tadaima. The staff is super friendly and helped us out a lot. Be prepared that you don't have much privacy if you're a couple as the rooms basically aren't really rooms. The walls don't go all the way up to the ceiling and there's no door, but a curtain-typed thing in stead. So you can hear everyone during the night if they get up, snore etc. It's part of the Japanese ryokan experience, but it's nice to be aware of.

Tadaima was a great way to experience a bit of traditional Japanese culture while staying in a central location in Tokyo. While the neighborhood itself isn't too exciting, there's easy access to both East and West Tokyo. Note that even the single room is located next to rooms with multiple people so it feels more like a hostel in that way, but with more room and a bit more privacy.

One of the places I was most looking forward to turned out to be a big disappointment. I was expecting a single room in an "old Edo-style ryokan". In reality, my room was not much more than a capsule than I could stand inside, without a door of any kind and including an Ikea paper lamp. No privacy, which to be fair they did warn me about, and specially no "old Edo-style" anywhere. To add to this, I was very crudely, borderline rudely, welcomed at check in. I would not recommend it to anyone.
