Tam Hostel is hands down the best hostel I have stayed in. It is a family run business and they are the nicest people. They will do everything they can to make your stay in Saigon as pleasant as possible. The location is perfect also.

I’d give a 100 out of 10! Love this place so much that even though I booked another hostel, unfortunately prior to coming to HCMC, I stayed in this hostel cause it’s decorated, run and owned by heart (Tam means heart). The staff is genuinely and exceptionally generous and kind! Rooms and beds are super spacious, toilets are super clean all day long. Breakfast is very tasty and the roof top terrace is a great place to chill out and share stories! BOOK THIS PLACE & YOU WON‘T REGRET IT!

Tam hostel is a very modern an clean place, staff are great and have loads of helpful suggestions on what to do in Ho Chi Minh. Bathrooms and Dorms are in very good condition. Beds offer a lot of privacy and are clean. The rooftop is a great place to hang out and socialize. It is very quiet and definitely a great spot to relax after a day exploring the hectic city.

Tam Hostel was great! Absolutely loved my time here, staff were super helpful. Perfectly located in District 1, but far enough back that you aren’t bothered by any noise. Short walk to all the sites. I’d recommend using the Grab app and buying your SIM card from here, cheaper than the airport. Although I only stayed a few nights, I highly recommend the hostel and will stay here again.

Tam Hostel was amazing. Michelle at reception was incredibly kind and super helpful. The place was very clean and had a lovely rooftop area for hanging out on. It has a very chill vibe, but is also close enough to the bars, etc if you want to have a big night. I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice hostel, very clean and lovely staff. My friend and I had a great stay here. The only criticism is the lightness of the curtains on the bed (like a linen so the light shines through easily) so if you want some sleepins or early nights wouldn’t be ideal but didn’t bother us at all. The bathrooms were very nice and the rooftop garden was a nice place to socialise with the other travellers!

We had the private double room and loved it. Exactly like the pictures, really clean spacious room with AC. Nice en suite, with outdoor shower (covered), also had a minifridge. Really friendly staff that recommended lots of things to do. Nice breakfast on rooftop terrace. Great location close to Notre dam, post office and war remnants museum. Definitely recommend!

This was a nice cosy hostel in the centre of a crazy city. One of the staff there was incredibly friendly and was always seeking to improve his english. The hostel provides a lovely breakfast and advice on what to do. The hostel itself is located down a short alley and the area for breakfast is very small so could become crowded if the hostel was busy.

This hostel is ok. It’s pretty clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast was good. The location is pretty great. They have a book with a lot of useful and helpful information like where to eat and what to do. The only thing is I didn’t care for is taking shoes off at entrance. I can understand needing to do this before entering the room but there was little space to take shoes off at the entrance. They also only use the air conditioning between 5pm and 11am. It gets pretty hot in the place.
