Because you are making a Group Booking, there are additional Terms and Conditions that apply. Please read them and click 'I Accept' below to continue with your booking

General Group Booking Terms

By making a group reservation through Hostelworld.com you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by Hostelworld.com and as set by the hostel in question.

  • In order to make a group reservation on Hostelworld.com it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
  • The booking deposit is non-refundable.
  • Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
  • Hostelworld.com are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
  • Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
  • It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
  • Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.

Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions

The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card 4 weeks prior to arrival. Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.

Cancellation / No Show & Reduction in Numbers Policy

ALL GROUP BOOKINGS ARE NON REFUNDABLE.

Additional Terms and Conditions

A deposit equal to the full booking is required prior to arrival and this can paid via cash or debit / credit card (£3 charge applicable by card). Tartan Lodge reserves the right to cancel any bookings, at any time and without reason or recourse.

In the case of group bookings (up to 6 persons), all outstanding fees for accommodation must be paid at check-in on arrival date of the booking. In the case of a group booking (over 6 persons), all outstanding fees must be paid, and cleared, not less than 28 days prior to arrival date.

The deposit paid either via the Tartan Lodge booking engine, one of our affiliate web sites, telephone and credit card or direct deposit is non-refundable.

The following group types are not accepted by this hostel: Junior / Primary School, High / Secondary School If you have misrepresented the type of group you are booking for, your booking may be cancelled by the hostel."

Any cancellations resulting from agreement to these terms and conditions under false pretences will result in loss of deposit.

Tartan Lodge provides affordable accommodation for budget and business travellers in mind, comprising of a selection of double bedrooms and twin rooms all with ensuite bathrooms and LCD Tvs. Additionally, our boutique hotel has shared dormitories for budget travellers and backpackers, with a choice of eight, six, four and three bed dormitories for male and female only dormitories offering bespoke bunk bed design which offer a double plug socket, shelve and underneath storage for each bunk. All dormitories include ensuite and facilities for families as well. For an additional fee you can hire Towels from us for £2 (plus £5 deposit), or purchase a padlock for your bunk for £2. We also offer a reading light for each bunk which is available from reception.

Our triple private room is furnished with a double bed and a single bed.

Guests are equally welcome to cook their own meals in our fully fitted kitchen with cooker, microwave and utensils.

Please note:
Cancellation policy: 72hr before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Check in from 14:00 to 21:00 .
Check out before 11:00 .

Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards.
Taxes included.
Continental Breakfast not included - 4.00 GBP per person per day.
No curfew.
We do not accept customers younger than 18yrs years of age unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Under 18ys are not allowed in our dorms.

    This hostel was clean and generally good. But the room card keys DID NOT WORK. They became demagnetized after one use so I had to go to reception for help every time I wanted to get into my room. Around midnight every night someone who didn't know about it would be banging on the door and rattling the handle. I asked them if I could have a new key because I thought at first mine was faulty and the person at the desk said "okay, but none of them work" :(

    The staff at reception were rude and incompetent. I arrive and am told I have to pay with cash, which I don’t have. So am sent out in the rain to go up the road to an ATM. No apology, no flexibility so I could pay later in the day... Then checked into the wrong room. Again, no apology. Plus apparently I owed them another £1.54 that I had to pay then. Surely if you’ve made all these mistakes then just write it off. Talking to others in my room, similar things had happened to them as well.

    Honestly, the worst customer service ever. The hostel took my money directly from my bank account before I could get there (the hostel policy says that you need to pay at your arrival). When I got there I asked for an explanation but they said I needed to speak with management. Plus, the person that took my money forgot to put it in the hostel system so when I got there they asked me to pay (again!!). I had to show them my bank statement. The only good thing was the blond housekeeper lady.

Things to Note

Spacious and cozy dorms or private rooms with wi-fi, ensuite bathroom and all the equipment. All rooms will be available for guests from 2pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Guests requiring a late arrival or departure time should advise us when booking so that the necessary arrangements can be made.

Guests can settle their account by cash, debit card or credit card.

Please note, cancellations must be made up to 72 hours in advance.
