Because you are making a Group Booking, there are additional Terms and Conditions that apply. Please read them and click 'I Accept' below to continue with your booking

General Group Booking Terms

By making a group reservation through you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by and as set by the hostel in question.

  • In order to make a group reservation on it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
  • The booking deposit is non-refundable.
  • Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
  • are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
  • Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
  • It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
  • Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.

Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions

The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card 4 weeks prior to arrival. Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.

Additional Terms and Conditions

A deposit equal to the full booking is required prior to arrival and this can paid via cash or debit / credit card (£3 charge applicable by card). Tartan Lodge reserves the right to cancel any bookings, at any time and without reason or recourse.

In the case of group bookings (up to 6 persons), all outstanding fees for accommodation must be paid at check-in on arrival date of the booking. In the case of a group booking (over 6 persons), all outstanding fees must be paid, and cleared, not less than 28 days prior to arrival date.

The deposit paid either via the Tartan Lodge booking engine, one of our affiliate web sites, telephone and credit card or direct deposit is non-refundable.

The following group types are not accepted by this hostel: Junior / Primary School, High / Secondary School If you have misrepresented the type of group you are booking for, your booking may be cancelled by the hostel."

Any cancellations resulting from agreement to these terms and conditions under false pretences will result in loss of deposit.

Property Description

Tartan Lodge provides affordable accommodation for budget and business travellers in mind, comprising of a selection of double bedrooms and twin rooms all with ensuite bathrooms and LCD Tvs. Additionally, our boutique hotel has shared dormitories for budget travellers and backpackers, with a choice of fourteen, eight, six, four and three bed dormitories for male and female only dormitories offering bespoke bunk bed design which offer a double plug socket, shelve and underneath storage for each bunk. All dormitories include ensuite and facilities for families as well. For an additional fee you can hire Towels from us for £2 (plus £5 deposit), or purchase a padlock for your bunk for £2. We also offer a reading light for each bunk which is available from reception.

Our triple private room is furnished with a double bed and a single bed.

Guests are equally welcome to cook their own meals in our fully fitted kitchen with cooker, microwave and utensils.

Please note:
Cancellation policy: 72hr before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Check in from 14:00 to 22:00.
Check out before 11:00.

Late check in after 22.00 incurs a charge of £5 per person.
Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards.
Taxes included.
Continental Breakfast not included - 4.00 GBP per person per day.
No curfew.
We do not accept customers younger than 18yrs years of age unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Under 18ys are not allowed in our dorms.

    A very warm welcome to Glasgow that looks like standing me in good stead for the rest of my Scotland trip. Memeroble characters and times. Saw parts of Glasgow I otherwise wouldn't have. Thanks a lot guys, keep up the good work

    Very friendly staff! Different common rooms. Dorm on the upper floor is prettier than the one downstairs. Security cameras around the property, probably very needed because there were some weird people walking in the streets. Talking to us looking for a fight and everything. But yeah, it’s not close to the city but it was cheap and okay. Bathroom was clean and attached to our 6 bed mixed dorm. Again, staff was very friendly and the hostel itself was good just the surrounding area wasn’t.

    Only one member of staff working when i arrived which took 25 minutes to check in as a result. They also don't accept card which was never stated resulting in a 10 minute walk to a cash machine and back when I was already exhausted. Not the staff members fault but one member clearly wasn't enough and she was exhausted but very friendly regardless. Same issue again on check out, took another 10 mintues with one person in front of me. Recommend if you don't mind bad management. Won't use ag

    Lady came in over an hour half rarly to clean rokm started tearung down sheets and etc.. all tge while im trying to get dressed etc.. unprofessional.

    Staff upon arrival was pretty rude and didn't seem to know what to do. We were not informed about a late check in fee, then we were charged a late check out fee after discussing with the staff member we didn't want one. Then the keys for the room wouldn't work. No towels in the room, pretty messy and unclean.

    I had a bad experience in this Hostel, the receptionist was so rude, I have never been treated like that; they send you an electronic key to your phone because is easier.. but mine never worked and the receptionist was telling me it was my fault, I have to paid 10 pounds for a keycard.. I will never stay there again. Previously my reservation I read some reviews and this kind of details was mentioned, but I did not have other option and I have to make a reservation there..

    This was the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. We arrived less than 30 minutes before check-in and were told very rudely that we had to wait--ok, fine. We waited well over an hour. Then we learned that, despite what it says online, they are cash only. We had to walk up the street to find an ATM. The door to our 4-bed room did not lock or even shut all the way. The bathroom had mold, the sheets were clearly not changed from the previous guest, and the whole staff was so rude it was uncomfortable.

    We were extremely unhappy with our stay at Tartan Lodge. When we arrived we did not receive a door key. On the second night of our stay we returned home at 1am to sleep and someone was sleeping in one of our beds. The hostel staff were incompetent and blamed us for their errors. Once we had shown them our booking they finally found another bed for us. All lockers were occupied so the staff kept our luggage for us however they didn't lock it away as promised they kept it in the open reception

    Would not recommend. We paid for five beds but the room we were put in did not have enough space for us all. We went to reception to get help and the staff member said she would sort it for us. After waiting in the room for some time we went back to reception to see what the story was and we were informed the staff member had gone home. We were disgusted as you can imagine. The new staff member had no choice but to put us in a 3 bedroom room for five of us. Hostel was filthy. Place is carnage.
