Very comfortable bedrooms, very nice to be able to have a private room with my group. Location was not a bad walk from downtown Glasgow and the rooms were very quiet too at night which was nice. Almost felt more like an inn than a hostel. Only issue was the card machine didn't work, which was odd... it was very tough to have to pay cash upfront but fortunately I had enough for emergencies.

A very warm welcome to Glasgow that looks like standing me in good stead for the rest of my Scotland trip. Memeroble characters and times. Saw parts of Glasgow I otherwise wouldn't have. Thanks a lot guys, keep up the good work

Beds in the 6-bed dorm were delightfully comfortable and big & boxy, so they felt more private than regular bunks. BYO lock underbed lockers were a bonus. Kitchen tiny (4 person limit) but stocked well enough with utensils. Fair walk into Glasgow centre (20-30 minutes) but good exercise as long as you have an umbrella. Reception had sparse recommendations on what to see, didn’t know where main sights were, and had no idea what to say. Great hostel, staff could improve. Would stay again!

If you are OK with the location being a bit out of the city centre, this hostel is good. Comfy beds with secure under-bed lockable storage, friendly housecleaning staff & reception, a lounge AND a games room, a free guitar for use (I play guitar so this was nice to find!), and cheap drinks & savouries. I did not have breakfast nor used the kitchen during my stay so cannot comment on those.

    Very Good

Good location and is a pretty average hostel stay. Rooms are a little cramped, making them stuffy. Kitchen was always dirty and if you came at the wrong time the sink could be over flowing with dishes. But it is a quick walk in to town!

Booked in for a mixed dorm, ended up being put in with all boys. It was off peak season so there were plenty of rooms available. The bathroom had mould on the door growing which was gross. There was only one worker there that was super helpful, everyone else was a little rude and they misplaced my I.D. Probably wouldn't go back but you get what you pay for!

I was not unhappy with my stay at the Tartan Lodge. It was everything I expected it to be for such a low price. I got everything I needed, a bed, a bathroom, and some storage space to lock up my things. The staff was a unclear about the breakfast deal though - it was advertised for 4 euros but I didn't know how or where to get it.

I had a bad experience in this Hostel, the receptionist was so rude, I have never been treated like that; they send you an electronic key to your phone because is easier.. but mine never worked and the receptionist was telling me it was my fault, I have to paid 10 pounds for a keycard.. I will never stay there again. Previously my reservation I read some reviews and this kind of details was mentioned, but I did not have other option and I have to make a reservation there..
