The staff at the hostel was nice and helpful. I only had to change rooms because the guy I was sharing with, lost his manners and respect. I further realised that there was a £10 charge for this. I hope this changes in the future as the hostel has to guarantee the security of guests, and changing rooms for this reason shouldn't be charged at all. Besides, this charge is not published on their website, in the app, and either appears on the plate or signs in the front desk. Thank you!

Very cheap hostel for the UK. My 8 bed dorm was spacious and comfortable and was warm which was essential due to the weather. Bathroom was clean as well. The building itself is big and there is a decent if small kitchen, and a large communal space and laundry facility as well. The only slight drawback is the location as you will either need to get a bus from town or it's a 30 minute walk from the main bus station. Staff were friendly during my stay.

It took me a long time to find the hostel and I found myself actually walking the wrong way until I discovered on Google Maps that the distance was getting longer and longer!! The beds as clean and comfortable and it’s nice to have an en-suite shower and toilet!! The staff could be more cheerful and helpful but maybe it’s the times of the crisis. Pity the kitchen was closed the very next morning. Very good value though!!

This could be a very good hostel if the management had higher standards about who was allowed to stay here. Personally, I was verbally abused and physically assaulted just outside the front door by a strange goblin-like character obviously under the influence of drink and/or drugs who was, apparently, a long term resident of this hostel and who took umbrage to me querying the staff about him exposing himself/urinating on the front steps!!!!

DONT STAY HERE IF YOUR A FEMALE TRAVELER! normally don’t write reviews but my stay was honestly really awful and I have to warn other ladies not to stay here. The hostel has lots of older men that seem to be permanent residents and I saw many of them pretty drunk/falling over and s*** like that on multiple occasions. Made me feel really unsafe. Not to mention it was really dirty! The hostel was far from anything in Glasgow and a kinda sketchy area too. Its cheap but please don’t sacrifice safety

The hostel is closed. I had no notification of it being closed and I had to find somewhere else that night, which thankfully I was able to. I have contacted you in regards to my dissatisfaction of the venue.

When I arrived at the hostel, there was nobody in the reception, so I ringed the bell and waited for about 15 minutes for someone to arrive. When the employee finally got there, he told me that I could not stay there because of the virus situation. Why didn't they cancelled my reservation before I got there? Because they don't care. They also didn't return the money that I spent. I will never ever stay there again, even if it would be the last place available.

Do not risk booking a bed/room at this hostel. They have a high rate of cancellations and will cancel your booking if they can get more money by upping the price and selling the bed to other customers, leaving you stranded upon arrival. [ You have been warned! ] I arrived all the way from london to be told ‘all rooms are taken’ and I would need to email the manager to get a refund. I have sent numerous emails without reply and still wait be refunded 3 weeks later.
