Was here very briefly, but for what I needed this place was perfect! Cheap accom in an old building, it’s what you would expect for the price. Location was perfect, accom a little tricky to navigate so could use some better signage for bathroom/toilet and kitchen, but it has character. Relaxed vibe, a bit noisy with the pub, minimal AC and power points for charging in rooms but portable fan and gang plug was provided. A good base for work/holiday trip. Would stay again!

Bit maze like and not large place to socialise in except the pub downstairs, which was closed the day we got there... But otherwise good

This place is priced accurately, it is cheap but you get what you pay for. There are very few toilets and the showers are not the cleanest. I arrived and my bed was not made and he reused the comforter from the previous guest that slept in the bed. The host was nice and the location was great as well as strong internet.

The location of the place is great, as well as the bar and the restaurant in the first floor. Our double room however was very samll and basic, with a squeaking bunk bed and an AC that didn't work properly. The window could only be opened a few inches, so it was hard to get fresh air in the room.

The receptionist was friendly and explained everything. The common areas, kitchen and bathroom looked old and not well maintained. The toilets were not clean. The dorm didn't smell good, the air was stuffed. there was no way to aerate. Someone must have smoked weed while I was away for dinner, making it really difficult to breathe during the night. The 2nd night, there was some loud music very close to the dorm. I could still hear it at 6.30am when I left. I barely slept the 2 nights

The hostel was dark, dingy and felt dirty. My room stank of cigarette smoke and I was woken at 6am by loud music. The top bunks on the street side are illuminated by bright lights all night, making sleep difficult. The kitchen and social space were unclean and uninviting. For what we payed, which wasn’t cheap, we were severely disappointed. There are much better options in Hobart and I would recommend going elsewhere.

Small, smelt bad, dirty bathrooms. Extremely overpriced. Can get 100x better for the same price elsewhere.

Dark hostel, with small rooms facing the indoor patio of a pub. Windows of the rooms do not open (and only open to a corridor anyway) so air in rooms is quite bad. The beds are rickety and there’s little space between beds. We did not see any lockers for our personal belongings. Our room was facing the communal area, and as no hospital staff managed a curfew / kitchen closure time, there were noise and vibrations of the room until 3AM.
