We're less than a 20-minute stroll from some of the city's top attractions, including the MAS Museum and the Cathedral of Our Lady. Grote Markt, the old-school town square, is about 15 minutes away on foot. If you're arriving by plane, we're only a 20-minute drive from Antwerp International Airport.

Solo travellers can check out our mixed or female-only dorms, while those after a little space to themselves can book a private double or twin room. Bedding's free, and you can rent a towel from reception for 2 euros. You'll get your own reading light and locker with your bunk, too.

No complaints! Staff were all lovely, was staying in one of the large rooms which had good shower and toilet facilities. All very clean. Atmosphere was laid back and friendly, it was not too busy (maybe it would be more so if I did not visit just before the Covid-19 sagas really took hold)

Super friendly staff. I went after the coronavirus limitations were lifted for the Weekend So there wasn’t many people and not much of an atmosphere. But I appreciate how much the staff is focused on safety of the customers

Nice and clean hostel. Don't forget your soap and shampoo cause there are none in the washroom. Beds were clean and comfy. Lockers were metal and flimsy so not the best quality. About 15 mins walk from the centre and good neighborhood. Would stay again

    Fabulous

    14 Dec 2019
I stayed only one night with a friend. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm, where there were 3 others, one of whom returned drunk at 4 AM, immediately passed out and snored at an unbelievable volume. It kept the rest of the room awake, my friend finally went down at about 6 AM to see if there was anything that could be done (room change, something). We were ultimately given a late check-out, which did help quite a bit, as we were able to get a few hours of sleep in the end. Very appreciative of the staff!

    Fabulous

At first, the hostel was really easing on the eye, although the road to the hostel was not. But it doesn’t take away the good parts about the hostel. The staff are super friendly and had a great time meeting people from all around the world. Incidentally, was there on my birthday so the person at the bar (Fabian) was more tham happy to provide me with a drink. So sweet of him. Overall, a nice pleasant stay. Recommend it for short trips.

    Fabulous

It was an alright place to stay for a night or two. It was more bare bones with the rooms compared to other hostels that I stayed at. The bed light was not working, there was no outlet for me to use nearby, and lockers were on the smaller side. Reception told me that I had to get soap from outside for the laundry. The common areas on the ground floor are nice though. Not many other choices in Antwerp so overall its a solid place to stay.

The ASH was a great place to stay - well situated near the Antwerp Centraal train station and a short walk from the Antwerp city centre. Staff were very friendly and the beds were comfy. Glad to have personal lockers in our rooms and a clean shower/bathroom. The heating unit in our room was difficult to shut off, so we had a couple warm nights. Overall would definitely recommend!

    Good

Soulless hostel for the masses. There were no chairs or table in my dorm-room, the bunk beds are made of flimsy steel and the bathroom modern and clean but also impractically designed. The library is a nice touch but could use a little more sound isolation from the lounge / dining room. I guess the hostel is ok if you are just looking for a place to lay your head, but it could really do with a little more cozy atmosphere.
