Hostel Fleming was built in the 1930s and has kept lots of its authentic features, including Spanish-style mosaic flooring, original stairways and greenhouse-inspired balconies. Modern elements like free Wi-Fi, a contemporary kitchen and an elevator bring things up to date. And our common areas – including a relaxing reading room, a fun bar and a games centre – mean you'll never be short of company. Want to catch some rays? There's a roof terrace with views over Majorca's Serra de Tramuntana mountains where you can stretch out in the sun.

We're an 8-minute walk from Plaça d'Espanya, the heart of Palma City, so it's easy to explore Majorca's capital on two feet. C'an Pere Antoni, the local beach, is a 35-minute stroll away. Don't miss the huge Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma, an impressive Gothic building that overlooks the Bay of Palma – it's just over 20 minutes away by bus. From Palma de Majorca Airport, you can grab a public bus to Plaça d'Espanya in about 15 minutes for 3 euros – the cheapest way to get to the hostel.

Rooms and Dorms

Whether you stay in a private room or choose a mixed or female-only dorm, you'll have access to the hot showers in the shared bathrooms. Each bunk bed's got a personal lamp, plug socket, lockers and free linen to make life easier. Rooms have heating and fans, and some spaces have been adapted for guests with disabilities.

Extras and activities

Location was perfect for being close to the metro station (less than 10 min walk) so that you can easily take busses to other towns or to and from the airport. Also close to plaza España. 20 min walk from city center and another 10 from the beach. All the facilities were very clean and well kept and there was always a staff member on hand if you needed recommendations or to ask questions. They also let me store my bags for the day after checkout which was very helpful:) would come back again!

Good location, relatively close to the bus/train station and center. Beautiful renovated historical building, clean and comfortable. Good showers. Friendly stuff. Bring your own padlock (costs 2€). Many bakeries, supermarkets and restaurants around, yet it’s a nice quiet area.

Showers and toilets are outside the doorms and are completely separated for men and women (clean and plenty of them). 2 fully equipped kitchens: 1 tiny on the last floor with large terrace and the big one on the second floor with 4 refrigerators so there was room for everyone to keep the food. The only minus at you need to have your own lock for the closet ( I didnt ask if it was possible to rent it ).

I enjoyed this hostel a lot — Very clean, and that's priority #1. ALSO: THEY HAVE CEILING FANS IN THE ROOMS! That's a very nice thing, to prevent the rooms from getting stuffy

Very secure, passport check, individual room keys and lockers (padlock at small charge). Super clean with a good vibe, lots of little places to sit and chairs on the balconies. However, I stayed on a Friday night and there was A LOT of disturbance during the night. People screaming and shouting in the corridor until 2am and then people arriving into the room at 3am talking very loud. Basically no sleep and a very early flight to catch, important to bear in mind if you’re not a party goer.

Solid place to stay for your money! It's a small walk to the center of Palma and very easy to navigate. The beds are super comfy and the bathrooms are really clean! Lots of space in the dorms and big lockers. The atmosphere was a little off because it was tough to meet people that were around my age. The walls are pretty thin so if a group of younger kids is staying there at the same time, I would definitely recommend bringing a set of headphones with you. Overall very nice stay.
