This just climbed the charts! The best hostel I’ve stayed in. Quiet yet social. The owner (sorry can’t recall the name ) was super helpful. The suggestions were spot on, he helped us call cabs, book the scooters etc. the rooms were super comfy, clean toilets, centrally located. Would definitely recommend and probably stay if I come back!

I can’t recommend the Cabin enough. Wade is such a helpful and friendly person, and the hostel itself is a great place. Good privacy in the bedrooms, a cool common area, and great location. I’m going back to chiang mai in a few days and I’ll be back!

This is a nice quiet hostel, conveniently located just outside the Old Town walls. The bunk space was more than generous- I appreciated the space to spread out. It's not a party spot, which I appreciated, but I was also able to meet and chat with some lovely, friendly people! I didn't partake in any of the organized outings, but, as a solo traveler, I loved that they offered a way to join group activities. If you'd like a nicely located, quiet place to stay, then The Cabin is a great choice!

Wonderful! 5mins to May Kaiser Vegan THai Cooking Class( best class)!! Calm! Mickey, Brite and Peach are all so helpful! Brite can tell you about anything in Chiang Mai and Thailand all together! He helped me plan my trip through Thailand and recommended places to see in vietnam as well! Micky is so welcoming and helped me when I booked the wrong day (I really appreciate that)! The place is spotless (and I’m borderline OCD! Walk :Women’s Prison for a massage, the Chiang Mai Bazar/Night Market.

I stayed at the Cabin during Songkran and had the absolute best time! I loved the hostel so much that I came back here after my trip to Pai. Even though it’s not a party hostel it’s still very sociable and the staff are really friendly. Wade and Vanessa are so lovely and were really helpful during my stay here. I can’t wait to come back here again one day!

Totally relaxed hostel with the most helpful staff I've had the pleasure of dealing with. The host helped me organise renting a scooter, let me know where was best to go for lunch / where to visit whilst riding around. He even booked my Grab to the train station. As far as the hostel, it's incredibly clean, has plenty of areas to chill out and have a drink in the evening, but doesn't have the 'party' atmosphere of other hostels. Highly recommended if you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere.

Wade is awesome! He helped me plan my activities in Chiang Mai everyday I stayed there. Most nights there was an activity going on and so it was great to meet new people while trying new things! I would definitely stay here again, the facilities were clean and it’s a really cool place.

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. It’s spotless, the rooms are spacious, the beds are unbelievably comfortable, and the owners/staff go above and beyond to get to know you and make you feel at home. From what I understand, it’s a newer hostel so the atmosphere isn’t the most social, but if you hang around the comfy and cute common area for a but you’ll definitely make friends. Thanks for an amazing stay.

This is a great hostel. It's fairly quiet compared to the others next to it but still has a great social vibe and a homely feel. The rooms are super clean and love the amount of privacy and space you get for the bed area. It is quite a bit more expensive than some other hostels but perhaps worth it.
