Stayed in the 8 person, private en-suite. The room and bathroom were quite clean and everything seemed new. The curtains on the beds were great! Bring your own lock for your locker. The common spaces weren’t great for socializing because they’re small and separated- one of the least social hostels I’ve stayed at. Lockers for 4€ a day after checkout. GREAT location right by the river and only a 7 minute drive from our bus station. Would absolutely stay again!

Really lovely hostel, right by the river, with beautiful views and only a short walk from the main train station. It’s a bit pricey in comparison to other hostels I’ve stayed in, but not uncommon for Western Europe. There’s a bar in the basement of the building, with fantastic cocktails, lovely staff and live fado music while we were there. The beds are well built and sturdy, so people getting in and out of bunks isn’t disturbing, but there is a lot of traffic noise from the street

The hostel is very well located, rooms are comfy and clean but the bathroom was filthy. The drain in one of the showers was clogged and the bathroom just flooded. Apart from that, my experience was amazing! The staff was also very friendly and helpful!

The Central House is nice and clean and the facilities are great. It is not social at all so if you’re wanting to stay there on your own and meet people it’s not the place …

    Very Good

Very comfy beds and the rooms are clean and a nice temperature - the lack of a kitchen or any cooking facilities makes it tricky for travellers on a budget and the hostel doesn’t seem like it would be very sociable for solo travellers but is good for staying with friends!

    Very Good

Great location, just two minutes walk down to the river and a shop just across the road. The staff were also very friendly. Beds, with privacy curtain, were clean and there was good a/c in the room. The showers were flooded for all 5 days of my stay, to the point where the carpet outside the bathrooms was even waterlogged. The sinks were not wiped down often and the bathrooms were also left without toilet paper. Also no kitchen, not even a kettle/sink/microwave.Good place for a night or two.

I think the hostel management should reconsider how often the toilets should be properly cleaned. They were absolutely disgusting.

Overall an excellent location for a hostel but you DON'T come here as a solo traveller as they have no activities and there is no common area to really meet anyone. I was lucky with some friends from a previous hostel and we all felt there was no way you could meet anyone. The staff were ok, not the friendliest. The rooms are nice and clean but the bathroom was a little dirty. P.s. This is more of a hotel with older people and children, not really a 'hostel' ;)

More of a hotel than a hostel, do not come here if you are solo traveling, no kitchen or anything either, but it is in a great location

The hostel canceled our booking of 2 nights just an hour before arrival. They did nothing to help us find a new place and didn’t stick to their promise to give us a bed once someone cancelled. We eventually got to stay 1 night (no thanks to any of the staff we could book 2 beds online) but they charged us extra (without warning) when we didn’t check out on time, while we made it very clear that we didn’t have any place else to go, due to their last minute cancellation.
