I cannot overstate how beautiful, clean and peaceful this hostel is. You are right in the middle of the park area. We came for the candle festival and it was stunning. Really glad to get out of the city and get some peace and quiet.

If there was a 10/5 rating for the staff I would choose it. We arrived early and the staff person Kana was so amazing, helpful and friendly. Whatever she is being paid is not nearly enough. Thanks for being so wonderful. The hostel is in an interesting location in the deer park. Close to many hikes, clean and comfortable. The photos do not do this place justice.

Great location for the hostel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel was clean and had a nice common room to chill in. Free tea/coffee was provided too. Would recommend to all travelers.

Really great guest house in the park of Nara. I was a little nervous arriving late and was thinking there would be a long walk from the main road. In reality the taxi brought us right near to the hotel and the staff greatly provided for a late arrival. Both were nice after a long flight and three train rides. The walking and hiking in the park were really great but watch the deer with young children. The temples and shrines nearby were great to visit for New Years. Really fantastic place.

The deers were right outside the room! A bit remote but that was a compromise I was willing to make to be right amongst the deers! The innkeeper was also very lovely and helpful.

This is a quirky little place - right in the heart of the park! The gentleman who runs it is wonderful - he was so helpful and kind. The beds are super comfy and the communal space is lovely too with everything you’d need in a kitchen. It’s a little far to the centre of Nara but there are buses out to the park.

Simple and relaxed environment situated in Nara Park. Staff were friendly and helpful making some excellent suggestions on worthwhile things to see. Hostel has a minimalist feel. As everything closes early in Nara Park (5 pm as indicated by hostel staff) ensure you either make early dinner plans or pre-purchase a bento box; however the hostel accommodates with instant ramen for sale. If you don't mind the trek the city centre isn't too far as well. Thanks for the comfortable stay.

Nice quiet stay in a pretty location surrounded by nature. The hostel was out of the city which was a welcome change for me and in the midst of Nara Park. Absolutely would stay there again.

Lovely location in the middle of the park, a bit of a walk to amenities but fine for a night. The staff were lovely and very willing to help with transport and finding food. The only slight downside was luggage storage - it isn't kept anywhere secure and when I came back to get it the reception and bags were completely unattended.

    Very Good

    06 Oct 2018
It was around 27 degrees celsius when I spent the night and the ac was put on heating instead of cooling. It was really terrible and you weren't able to change it yourself but there wasn't anyone available at the desk either. The lockers in the room did not have a working key. We saw cockroaches at the bathrooms but the lady at the desk was really nice and the location is superb.
