Property Description

The Frame Guesthouse is the latest addition to our guesthouse after Old Penang Guesthouse and The 80’s Guesthouse.

It is located in 3 storey heritage shophouses which previously houses a frame maker shop. Based on the belief in authenticity, functionality and material that age beautifully, we chose to restore the highly necessary in the guesthouse and hence preserve the rest. Existing concrete floor, walls and surfaces were kept with minimal treatment. Much of this space was left as it was found before the renovation with rough, peeling walls and the traces of a removed electrical appliances were left exposed on the wall surface.

The guesthouse which is located in the bustling heart of UNESCO World Heritage Site, near to most of the famous tourist attraction. It is a best accommodation for traveler who looking for unique and unforgettable stay on budget.

Loved this place. The vibe is relaxed, it was possible to meet other people but I wouldn’t say the most social place. It could be though if you’re outgoing enough. I really liked how peaceful it was, super well located. Walking distance from ferry terminal and the buses can take you most places you need. Lovers Lane just around the corner for pubs and good food nearby. Would be nice if breakfast was a bit more comprehensive, but still fine. A full kitchen would be wonderful too. Will come back

Great little hostel in a good location. Yes, it’s got character, it’s a little creaky and you can hear everything but I had no problems sleeping. Breakfast isn’t much but is just right and tea/coffee/water available throughout the day. The staff are lovely, always welcoming and happy to provide recommendations etc.

Hands down the best showers, on par with many big hotels. Room was great too and it was 2 mins away from great food and bars.

Great hostel, with an amazing staff. Very helpful and flexible with every request one might have. The hostel itself is very minimalistic with big spaces and little furniture. The location is one of the best in Georgetown, right next to both Chinatown and Little India, in the centre of the Unesco zone. Only small problem is that the common areas aren’t really noise-isolated so you are discouraged from staying and having conversations which isn’t ideal in case you plan to spend the night in

Great hostel with really good showers, facilities and awesome location. Some of the dorm rooms can get quite loud at night (close to the road) so make sure you bring ear plugs. Not too much of an atmosphere but very chill vibes. I’d stay here again for sure!

An understated boutique hostel that is very clean and stylish. Best showers. Comfortable beds. Helpful staff. Not a party hostel but common areas are suitable for working and socialising. Only criticism would be the noise if your room is by the window - but nothing some ear plugs won't solve! Would definitely stay again.

I loooooved this place. Rooms are really large, as are the bathrooms, kitchen and common area. The rustic feel of this place reminded me of home. Not so much of a social vibe but a great place to relax and get away from the crazy streets of Georgetown. The location is really good too, right near the street art and some night street food :) would definitely stay again.

    Fabulous

Nice hostel inside a condominium residence on the 13th floor with elevators and a cafe, a grocery and a convenience store on bottom floor. Typical dorm style (mine, 8 bunk female dorm), nice locker, a window and a/c. Dorm was full and only I bathroom but it worked. Open air balcony to dry clothes, laundry (fee), good kitchen for cooking/fridge, and coffee/tea and crackers available. Clean and pool is delightful! Staff are friendly, kickback atmosphere. A joy to stay.

    Fabulous

The hostel is well located, the beds are comfy, free tea/coffee/water all day is a big plus. I also liked the way the hostel was decorated, it looked pretty cool. But there were a few downsides. Our room stank of damp and it was very loud, somewhere was blasting music at basically all hours of the day. All things considered I’d probably stay again
