We offer 5 dorm rooms of different sizes and themes; The Green House, The Beach Hut, The Locker Room, The 070 (Netherlands joke, ask our staff about it) and Bierkade - a homage to our beautiful canal street. All beds have their own light and wall socket, individual storage section and luggage space, fresh linen is provided, towels and a delicious continental breakfast will only cost you a small fee.

We are just down the road from the shopping district, both the main high street and cute back streets with boutique stores. The hostel is practically inside Chinatown, a great place to head out for dinner and central to both city squares, Grote Markt and Plein, brimming with cafes, terrace bars and live music venues.
Between 5-10 minute walk from both train stations and only 10 minutes by tram (the Bierkade stop is right outside the hostel door) to sandy Scheveningen beach.
Golden Stork organizes a games night in the hostel every Wednesday with games such as Monopoly, Jenga, Uno and Exploding Kittens. Guests can enjoy a Dutch Dinner every Friday for only 5 euros. Last but not least we organize regularly jam sessions in our bar, check our calendar for most up to date events.

The location of the Golden Stork is excellent, it's close to the center and right next to a tram stop, while still being a quiet area. The rooms are in the back of the building so noises from the outside cannot be heard. The facilities are cleaned every day over lunch time. The food in the café/bar is very nice, with plenty of vegan/vegetarian options and the terrace has a nice view over one of the many canals in the city. There's concerts/activities each night. Sadly it closes already at 11pm.

Clean but crowded rooms. Common space is only open until around 11pm. The room I stayed in had bunk beds, not the pods mentioned in other reviews.

Super friendly staff! No kitchen facilities tho but they heated up my food when I asked them. Bit expensive tho considering we slept in capsules in the wall (like in Japanese hotels) but hey, its the Netherlands

    Very Good

The hostel has nice location. Close to 2 train stations. The stuff is nice. My room, 10 people, was small. I slept in "capsule" in Spain but it was bigger than this and I could leave my clothes in it too. Here was not enough space. Lockers were not suitable for a padlock! The door or electric lock was noisy. Somebody comes back late and somebody gets up early, so having 10 people you often hear the door when you sleep. The clothes took a long time to dry. No window, only air condition.

This place is a bit of a weird one some things are ok but the dorms are far too cramped, there is no space and it stunk because there is no window in the 12 person dorm which I think might actually be a 14 person dorm as there were 10 single beds and im pretty sure 2x double beds. The location is great, the toilets/showers were clean, the staff were good, the bar area is really nice on the street canal but lacks a real social vibe, it kind of just feels like walking into any cafe off the street.

The rooms are extremely small, but even worse was the air inside… with 8 people ina very tiny room without a window and just a small ac, you felt like you couldn’t breathe at night. However, staff is nice and helpful, we could arrange a pretty spontaneous late check in.

I was notified of the check in being due at 10pm - which meant arriving at the hostel at 11pm and having noone answer the door or the phone. Awful.
