Dion and I had an amazing time at the Meshmosh and despite staying in Beirut for 5 more days frequented the hostel just for the conviviality. When I go back to Beirut, this is where I will be staying first.

I planned to stay at the Grand Meshmosh for 2-3 days and travel around Lebanon after, but ended up staying nearly a week, my full time in the country, and making daytrips elsewhere. This was largely because Beirut (overall) is such a lovely place to be based, but also because the Grand Meshmosh -- the hotel, its staff, and guests -- was *also* a great hub. By the time I left, I felt like I'd found a small home; guests and staff knew my name, and I theirs. I would definitely stay again!

30 Dec 2019 he hostel at night cause I didn’t know how to get back in. The elderly man who checked me in had forgotten to tell me how I could gain access to the building. The day after they showed me a phone number on a piece of paper that had been attached to a window, but no one can realistically find that in the middle of the night when it’s all dark. I also went through my email to see if I’d gotten an email from them with instructions as to how I could get into
