At the Hipstel Paseo De Gràcia, we're a travelling hipster paradise with our friendly and lively atmosphere. There’s always something going on here, whether it’s a cultural event from our packed agenda (think flamenco or paella) or a pub crawl taking in some of the areas best party spots. Making friends to explore the city with is easy when you stay here – activity nights can be followed by laid-back evenings in the lounge or TV room where you and your mates can gather for movies.

You’ll be close to the action during your stay as we’re located next to the Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona's main shopping street. To get here, take the Aerobus to Plaça Catalunya then walk for 15 minutes. On our doorstep, you’ll find loads of restaurants and bars, but if you want to explore other parts of town there's a metro station just across the road. When you're up for a big night out, head to the sea-view bars of La Barceloneta (a few minutes away by metro) to experience a beach party in the city.

Rooms and Dorms

Enjoy the authentic hostel vibe by joining your fellow travellers in our shared dorms. As we're set in a period building, the rooms are airy and some have balconies with city views. If you prefer a bit more peace and quiet, check into a private room. We supply free bed linen and there are free security lockers on hand for stashing your backpack.

Extras and activities

Good news for your budget – we have a fully-equipped kitchen so you can try your hand at some Spanish specialities. Our free Wi-Fi keeps your data charges down, too. Whichever season you’re travelling in, we’ll make sure you have a comfortable stay, with air conditioning and hot showers available. Need inspiration for places to see in Barcelona? There’s a travel desk on-site where you can book onto tours, and the multi-lingual staff at our 24-hour reception have plenty of insider tips.

    Very Good

Absolutely amazing location! Hostel itself was very friendly and helpful staff; doesn't seem like the place for a rowdy crowd. Wide range of guests by background + age (sometimes great sometimes uncomfortable - I was youngest in my room of 8 beds by about 10-15 years). Facilities are alright: wish there were more showers and toilets, bunkroom's thermostat was set to 18⁰ and room was reading as 31⁰ so AC definitely didn't work. Clean enough. Good value for the price, but expect what you pay for.

Beside the fact that the staff is incredibly amazing and helpful, the hostel is overall dirty (bring some slippers) and noisy. If these two things doesn't bother you, then you'll probably have a great time here.

Never in 30 years did I get a single room that was SO NOISY : Right smack across the kitchen and with a speaker just above the room door. And they play reggaeton full blast from 7 am to midnight (give or take half an hour) On top of that there are guests staying on a monthly basis not very "well" in their heads like the one they sent away on monday night after a big argument... Long story short I paid for 5 nights upon Check in and checked out on the 3rd day. Great Staff and location though.

I reserved 3 nights in this hostel, really the staff is so rude and unhelpful especially the girl there, and when I asked them to get money back of only the last night because I can't stay all the 3 nights, they were always saying different things and they were not clear at all and gave me different emails to send the case to their boss. Sure nobody replies to the emails I sent and nobody give a s**t!! SO pls don't try this hostel and repeat this bad experience:( it is unrecommendable at all

Possibly the worst hostel experience I have ever had. It was filthy, but I was kind of okay with that. What was absolutely not okay was they let people into the hostel rooms way into the early hours of the morning. Me and my brother had to leave early because they let in a homeless man at 2 in the morning, who started to use drugs and masturbate loudly in the dorm. I have literally never felt so unsafe in a bed that I paid for- and it isn’t even a cheap hostel.

There are 3 main reasons no one should stay here: 1. Filthy - there is a bad smell, the common area and the toilets feel disgusting. Surfaces are sticky. 2. Super unsafe - someone was banging on the doors at 1 am - turns out he WASN’T EVEN A REGISTERED GUEST. Guess anyone can walk in. 3. Staff is clueless - pretty much anything you ask them for is impossible. I was so cold because the AC was broken - sorry, nothing to do. We moved to another property - awesome place, recommend it.

It is not a hostel but it is a pigsty. The anti-COVID safety rules are not respected. The managers mistreat customers and some are aggressive, it is the dirtiest hostel in Barcelona and it is dangerous. There are no tourists but dirty homeless who run all day in the hostel wandering I strongly advise against. It's a black book hostel
