Overview

At the Hipstel Paseo De Gràcia, we're a travelling hipster paradise with our friendly and lively atmosphere. There’s always something going on here, whether it’s a cultural event from our packed agenda (think flamenco or paella) or a pub crawl taking in some of the areas best party spots. Making friends to explore the city with is easy when you stay here – activity nights can be followed by laid-back evenings in the lounge or TV room where you and your mates can gather for movies.

Location

You’ll be close to the action during your stay as we’re located next to the Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona's main shopping street. To get here, take the Aerobus to Plaça Catalunya then walk for 15 minutes. On our doorstep, you’ll find loads of restaurants and bars, but if you want to explore other parts of town there's a metro station just across the road. When you're up for a big night out, head to the sea-view bars of La Barceloneta (a few minutes away by metro) to experience a beach party in the city.

Rooms and Dorms

Enjoy the authentic hostel vibe by joining your fellow travellers in our shared dorms. As we're set in a period building, the rooms are airy and some have balconies with city views. If you prefer a bit more peace and quiet, check into a private room. We supply free bed linen and there are free security lockers on hand for stashing your backpack.

Extras and activities

Good news for your budget – we have a fully-equipped kitchen so you can try your hand at some Spanish specialities. Our free Wi-Fi keeps your data charges down, too. Whichever season you’re travelling in, we’ll make sure you have a comfortable stay, with air conditioning and hot showers available. Need inspiration for places to see in Barcelona? There’s a travel desk on-site where you can book onto tours, and the multi-lingual staff at our 24-hour reception have plenty of insider tips.

It was a pleasure staying at the hostel! Everything was really good! The only things I would suggest improvements are more sockets on the rooms and change the door of room 210 because it is too noisy!

    Fabulous

Quite a nice place with excellent staff. Everything was clean and in order. Price and location were also quite good. The only complaint I could make is that the locker area was kind of chaotic, part of one door was bent, some handles were missing off of some boxes, which could be an inconvenience if the place were very full (it was not when I was there). Other than that, a very nice place which serves a good dinner plate for 5€ at night.

Have stayed here 3 times in the last couple months in a single room, twice in the same one . Won't be back. Constant building works going on next door that starts early as 5am. Staff always seem clueless when I mention it. Last week when I slept there, in room 213, I was awoken at 6am to a massive light directly outside by window and men drilling walls. So can no longer recommend as I never get a good night's sleep

Great location but if you want a decent night of sleep, I would take a room with fewer people. Despite the daily cleaning, the hygiene of some guests was disruptive and the snoring can be unbearable. The balcony area for the room was lovely. The common area was quaint and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The laundry for 5 euros was convenient but the clothes came back damp. The kitchen was convenient for making sandwiches but not for a proper dinner due to the overload in the fridge

The hostel was incredibly dirty. The bathrooms were always a mess no matter what time of day. The rooms and common areas need a deep clean. I stayed while work was being done, so very early in the morning you were woken up by machines going off, it would’ve been nice to have known that. The building has a lot of potential to be a really cool hostel. The beds are terrible as well. Very worn and makes a lot of noise. My back hurts as a result also the locks in the rooms dont actually lock anything

Pros: the hostel's proximity to the metro is superb! 3 min walk. Staff was ok. Cons: this place is VERY VERY VERY social! It is loud and not very considerate of people's sleep schedule. There are no curfew hours, so there were lots of loud laughing, talking, and screaming well into 3am! The facilities are poor, the beds are extremely squeaky. There is lack of privacy via a bed curtain. The showers themselves could use alot more privacy. Verdict: expensive and crappy. not worth the price.
