I really enjoyed my night here. It was just the chilled out vibe i was looking for. Such a nice little hostel. The common area is a nice big space and nicely furnished. There are lots of hot drinks and snacks to help yourself to. I liked the music playing in there in the day too. That was nice. This room looks out onto the Orthodox cathedral. Such a good location. Everything is so clean and the owner who lives there is very nice and helpful if you chat to him. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location and great host! It is in a private apartment (don't be surprised!), but feels like a hostel and is safe and clean. Nice breakfast in the morning.

This hostel was absolutely amazing! This is the owner, Dragos’s home and he really does make you feel at home during your stay as well. During a period of traveling and staying in hostel after hostel, coming to The Houstel was a welcome, relaxing change - feeling like you are taking a real shower and staying in very comfortable beds. The location also could not be better. You walk downstairs into all of the action.

Before arriving at The Houstel I didn't know what to expect. I chose this place because it was central and it had a 24h reception service. But wow! I had no idea how awesome it is. It's a big beautiful apartment in a 20th century building situated in the main square, with huge rooms, tall ceilings and a balcony with view to the metropolitan cathedral. The host is one of the nicest people - very welcoming, relaxed, helpful and generous with his supplies :) This hostel is a gem.

Had a lovely stay here. Came alone and stayed for 5 days. The location is the best part about this hostel. Second best is the cleanliness. Though a bunk bed, it’s still comfortable. The owner helped me with restaurant choices, bars, and getting to the airport at 4AM. Only downside is if you don’t speak to the owner beforehand, like I did, it may be difficult to find. So definitely message him before you land like I did. He will respond and help you locate it.

A wonderful small hostel, in a beautiful old building on one of the main squares (but very quiet as the hostel is at the back of the building on a courtyard). Had one of the best chill out spaces / living rooms I've ever seen in a hostel, was a great place to hang out. Dragos who runs the hostel was amazingly helpful and kind, he gave us lots of recommendations. The best hostel we've ever stayed in.

It's getting there, when Dragos is there it's nice to hang out and chat with him but if he's not around then the atmosphere just disappears. Clean, tidy and comfortable overall, very spacious rooms. The best part is the unbeatable view! I'd stay here again - and hope for cool people staying with me!

    Very Good

    24 Jun 2019
This hostel is right in the city center and main attractions are all minutes away from it. The apartment is just beautiful and at night the view on the church is breathtaking! Had a good nights sleep as it seems to be a quiet place. What disturbed me was the fact that the owner also lived in the same apartment and that the toilet seat was incredibly dirty (it obviously hasn't been cleaned in a very long time). It disturbed even more than the cockroaches coming in because of the heat.
