Good location. A bit tight in the bed room. There are lockers to secure your vulnerable stuff. Simple for a good night sleep and the bed is good.

15 min walk from the train station/gornergrat train Lady at front desk was super nice, helping me plan my hikes for the next day Kitchen has only a kettle and two bar fridges, so plan accordingly I booked an 8 person room, but got a 6 person which was nice Showers are hot and clean, and there is even a hair dryer The blanket on the bed is a wool blanket which probably isn't washed often, so bring a sleeping liner if that bothers you Cheapest place to stay in zermatt, met my needs

It is the cheapest hostel from Zermatt, but it should be cleaner.. the bathroom was horrible. They don't have keys for room and it is always open.

The property was the most expensive hostel of all of the hostels I am staying at during my backpacking trip. It has also been the most disappointing. The staff are very friendly, I’ll give them that. But it’s hit or miss as to whether someone will be there when you need them or when you’re checking in. There were only two outlets in our bedroom so we all had to fight over them. The lockers are very small and you have to pay a deposit for a key. Showers are cold and clogged.

Pretty dingy place - cramped, smelly, cold and awkward. DESPERATELY NEEDS A MICROWAVE - PLEASE MANAGEMENT, I watched someone boil ramen in the kettle - so dangerous! There is no real kitchen, just a countertop, a kettle and some dishes with a mini-fridge in a tiny common room. The entire basement (where the only showers are) is extremely cold because of the weird door in the toilets propped open 24/7 by a plumbing tube (bizarre?). Bedroom furnace was broken, only 1 blanket. Super-budget only.

This is a very, very average hostel which commands an over-inflated price due to its lack of competition in a very expensive town. The staff were friendly and the bed itself was very comfy. Aside from those things I can't say too many positive things. One woollen blanket is not enough bedding. Doors and windows are left open all the time which made the common areas freezing (in September - not even winter yet). The bar/restaurant was shut the entire time I was there. No security whatsoever, no key cards or locks on doors, could go into any room, blankets itchy and had hair on them, saw a cockroach in the kitchen area... almost fell down the steep stairs trying to get my luggage up, and someone was smoking on our balcony even though it is non smoking. Room smelt like smoke the rest of the night.

There is no security on the main door or any of the rooms. Showers barely ever have “warm” water and I use that term very loosely. The bedding was one blanket that looks like it hasn’t been washed in weeks and it was full of holes. There wasn’t enough plugs to charge everyones phones and our room wasn’t full. Staff was super grumpy our first day and then fine the next, I’d assume he was having a bad day.
