    Superb

Really lovely staff, super helpful and friendly! The events they organise are fun and not cringey (they take you to the local bars that they actually go to). Clean rooms, bathrooms and kitchen. AMAZING atmoshphere, lots of friendly travellers (more long term people rather than backpackers). Beautiful rooms some have balconies!!! Other great things are the free breakfast and free hire of sports stuff! The only annoying thing is the main kitchen shuts at 10pm (there is a kichenette though).

    Fabulous

Everything was spot on, the Only issue I had was the size of the kitchen, if you plan on cooking during peak meal times 12 (lunch) 6-8 (dinner) be prepared, to many cooks is mostly certainly and understatement even if you only have 3-4 cooking at one time

    Fabulous

Hostel was nice and secure and had cute activities, and breakfast was nice and free. Fantastic location with a short walk/tram to the city and loads of cool bars at Brunswick st 5 mins away. I thought the fact that we had to pay for wifi was a bit ridiculous, since most 3rd world (and 1st world) country hostels offer it for free.

    Very Good

    23 Nov 2018
The Nunnery is a very relaxed hostel. Almost like a big house where you live all together. Has a personal feel to it. Facilities bit old, the pots and pans in the kitchen for example are to old to use. The black layer on a pan would come of on your food. But apart from that it has what you need, in one of the nicest neighbourhoods.

The Nunnery says

I think what makes us extra special is the extras we offer our guests. We've got free breakfast every morning plus free events all week like movie night on Tuesdays, homemade soup on Wednesdays, pub crawls on Thursdays and wine and nibbles or BBQ on Fridays.
We really aim to offer a unique experience; after all, our hostel was built in 1888 and for 60 years used to be an actual nunnery! We take pride in helping our guests enjoy the very best Melbourne has to offer.
The nearest main attractions are the Melbourne Museum and Melbourne Exhibition centre; personally, I recommend guests check out the bars, cafes and restaurants around nearby Brunswick Street and Smith Street. Jacqui, Assistant Manager
