I had a great stay at this hostel! The very welcoming owner as well as all the terrific international staff made me feel at home immediately. Got to experience Westport's amazing sights and in addition even some Mexican and Spanish cuisine and cultural insights :) Covid safety measures and cleanliness were followed very well so I felt safe and relaxed at all times. Highly recommended!

It's difficult to have an atmosphere while social distancing. The staff were very strict but friendly and accommodating at the same time. We intend to return when the Covid-19 situation blows over.

The hostel has great location in a charming building. At 35 euro a night, the basic dorm seemed overpriced. There was a stag party staying next to our room. They were very loud until after 5am. No one from the hostel seemed to intervene.

    Very Good

    20 Jul 2020
The hostel is in a great location and the staff were very friendly. We only stayed one night so didn't spend much time in the room. Unfortunately there were some other very loud quests and you can hear everything through the walls. Could only find two plug sockets in a room for four people. Overall the hostel is well presented but a number of small issues.

No security at night, extremely noisy and rude people in the bedroom next door to us (both nights - 2 different groups) and nothing done about it meant our group of 4 did not sleep either night. Staff did not help even when we complained on check out. Took a €30 “behaviour” deposit off us - which we thought would mean we could rely on the other guests to “behave”. Poor shower facilities and no regular clean up - bins always overflowing, bathroom floor covered in stains/rubbish. Not impressed!

Highly Unprofessional. I booked to arrive 23.00 - Midnight & had a confirmation email. I arrived at 23.45 and the staff were gone. I could not gain entry. I rang the numbers provided with no reply. I had been on a 400km cycle from 6am & was left stranded. Not good for the reputation of the Hostel OR Hostel World. Tks Michael
