Overview

Our converted colonial casa, The Point Cusco, is the ideal place to stay before you head out on the trail to Machu Picchu. We've got free Wi-Fi 24 hours a day, and you can use it everywhere in the hostel – including in our garden, because you'll want to upload pics of our artistic graffiti-covered walls! When evening falls, head to our Horny Llama bar for drinks and swap some travel tips with other guests. Our in-house nightlife gurus will hand you a wristband and take you out to local clubs for free after last orders are called.

Location

We're two blocks away from Cusco's main square, Plaza de Armas, which combines UNESCO-approved historic architecture with lively pubs, international restaurants and quirky shops. You can get to the 16th century cathedral in 7 minutes on foot. Ccochahuasi Animal Sanctuary, where you can see rescued condors, pumas and llamas, is a 35-minute drive away. Don't want to find a taxi at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport? We'll come and pick you up – just ask us in advance.

Rooms and Dorms

We have twin, double and dorm rooms to choose from, and the private options come with en suites. All our bathrooms have hot showers, so you can freshen up after your journey and be raring to go. You'll have your own locker as well, and there's 24-hour security so you can head out knowing your backpack's safe.

Extras and activities

Our bar's the main social hub at the hostel, doubling up as a café and restaurant in the daytime, and we've also got a lounge too for a more laid-back vibe. If you're keen to check out the Incan-era sights of the Sacred Valley, head to our travel desk for the lowdown on tickets and tours. We've got foosball and pool tables you can play on while you decide where to go, and you can pay for everything with the soles you take out from our on-site ATM.

Very good value for my money. The bed sheets were clean, there was a nice pillow, the bunks were large and with curtains. The lockers were spacious, and they provided a lock. The bathrooms were also cleaned which added to the cleanliness. he only thing I was apprehensive about was leaving my bags in their secure baggage space because they let you store and take your own bags, so someone could have grabbed mine.

Garden and patio are paradise in centre of Cusco. I highly recommend the personal attention Vicky of Housekeeping Cusco for her concern and helpfullness towards visitors and problems they may have.

Definitely not the most social hostel, but the perfect place for recharging! The space is absolutely beautiful, and everyone I met there was kind. Wonderful hostel!

This hostel is exactly what you’re paying for. Someone vomited next to my bed prior to me getting there and I asked them to clean it up, no one ever cleaned it up after 3 days. I ended up moving beds but still, super gross. Also it’s obnoxiously loud, every night. So if you’re looking for a party hostel then I guess that’s good but we definitely weren’t. Bathrooms are hit and miss in terms of cleanliness depending at what hour you go. The reception also gave us bad info on busses. Overall meh

The staff was nice, but the en-suite bathrooms were horrible. Always wet and dirty. No internet in the rooms. The electricity plugs didn’t work. My experience wasn’t great.
