I was only here for one night so couldn't really tell how the atmosphere was to be honest, but it didn't seem super lively. It's also in a more quite part of the city, but near the metro. The vibe of the hostel is really cool though!

Hostel was pretty quiet when we stayed there so no real atmosphere. Showers were perfect for men and for women they were perfect the first night and then the next two nights the water was ice cold so not sure if they had issues. Huge kitchen and rooms were very spacious with big beds. Located in between 2 metro stops (about 7 mins walk) so was handy. Staff were very pleasant and helpful - overall it was a great stay.

The hostel was nice enough. Didn’t feel super clean and the one 4 dorm bedroom has a mattress just laying on the floor. The bathrooms weren’t super clean, but not too dirty. The WiFi was okay but cut in and out. The beds were bigger than the standard single which was nice.

We only stayed here as a stopover but would stay here again if we went back to Santiago. Hostel is in a good location and had hot showers and comfy beds. The kitchen was pretty decent too. Breakfast wasn’t included but you could order it in the morning for extra. We ordered a taxi to the airport for 20,000 CLP, which the hostel organised and gave the money to the driver. The meter only actually went up to 13,000 though but we’d already paid. Only minor complaint with the whole place.

Welcoming staff, large bunks each with own light, shelf and wall plug. Small kitchen so time cooking well. Breakfast not worth the price you pay for it. Very slow internet for a City hostel. Close to the metro so good location for accessing the rest of the city.

I was staying in a double room with bathroom. The room was old and looked like a "pay by the hour" motel room. There was mold or water infiltration stain on the ceiling and it seemed like the room wasn't that clean. The bathroom had no door. The hot water from the sink didn't work. The sink itself looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The room was right next to the street so we could hear everything outside. Could be noisy. Location is fine. Staff didn't know about the airport...

I checked out earlier, worst in 2 months travels! Dead location.VERY cold inside, no heater, people stat in the rooms to warm up, you don’t see anyone, Depressive atmosphere. . To add to the cold, the shared showers & toilets are in the OUTDOOR patio and one of the only 2 toilets had no seat. Cleanliness below average! Friendly young staff but not experts for recommendations. I asked for a heater in my room and the girls volunteered their personal heater. Too bad for such a nicely designed space

We had a few issues with this place and would not recommend: -My bed was a matress on the floor despite paying full price. -Duvet covers were not clean between guests. -No locks on room doors and reception let everyone and anyone in. -Whole hostel smelt stale and needed a good clean.

The Princesa Insolente Hostel says

I think what Hostelworld guests like best about us is our location in the Barrio Brasil area, which means endless restaurants, pubs and 'picadas' (small economical food stores) - it's a culinary treasure. As a whole, we like to help motivate people to get to know the city, with different offerings of tours, whether it's a quick visit to the amazing city of Valparaiso or a trip to the mountain or a visit to a winery like Concha y Toro or Undurraga.
Our passengers come of all ages and styles. We have a set-up that allows everyone to feel included. Young people will find an excellent place to chill, to be and let be. Older guests will be absorbed with the relaxed environment, and the parties which intend to unite the guests will always be respectful and within reasonable limits. We invite the open-minded, the stylish, the adventurers and the fun and improvised personalities to come along, as we give our best in attention and care for all people who are in search of a good time.
