Excellent hostel and very cheap! In a good location in the middle of the city’s biggest park, and close to the old city. Staff were helpful and there were tons of places to relax. I wasn’t inclined to take advantage of the bar crawl and some other activities, but those are also a nice bonus.

One of the cutest hostels I've stayed in. All of the rooms are very basic, but the pop of color makes it welcoming. I especially loved the reception and bar staff- specifically Grace and Kate, they made me feel including in the activities we did together and were really fun to get to know. There are a lot of groups that come here, but it wasn't hard for me as a solo traveler to make friends. About 30-minute bus from the beach, and worth it! Can't wait to visit again, hopefully soon!

I enjoyed my stay here, the staff were great and the hostel was comfortable and had everything I needed. My one issue was that I didn't like the music in the common area (strange cover songs and pop music mostly) and sometimes it was too loud for me. But that's just a personal preference, the younger crowd seemed to enjoy it!

Had a really nice stay here. Good common areas and easy to get talking to people, which I think is important when solo travelling. They do free dinner in the evening which is very basic but nevertheless a free meal. I would have stayed another night if they weren’t fully booked (instead I ended up at Quart Youth Hostel which was clean and modern, but no atmosphere at all).

I thought the river hostel was awesome. Loved my room, the bed was very big and the curtain adds a good privacy feel, ample space in the locker for all of your belongings. Rooms have AC and fans. I liked that my room had a cute little balcony. I also had a lot of fun on the pub crawl! Cute little sitting area and bar with cheap drinks and food.

Staff could be a bit more attentive. Toilet/kitchen lights turns off every 15 secs which is extremely inconvenient. Meeting people is kinda hard as common area is very stretched out. More like hotel in a way. Overall good hostel. Not so sure if I would stay again.

    Very Good

    13 Jul 2019
The biggest problem I had was that when I arrived, at 11 PM, there was not a single clean towel. When you arrive at a hostel that late at night the only things in your mind is to take a shower and go to bet. It was hot as hell, about 33 Celsius, and I was all sweaty. Apart from that the hostel’s location is basically perfect, you can go to almost every landmark by foot. Side note: rent a bike, it’s totally worth it.
