Excellent location in town centre next to railway station and 2 minutes walk from bus station and shopping centre. All staff were helpful. Breakfast room staff were particularly pleasant and gave great service. Ash restaurant, bar and hotel lounge were very comfortable. Staircase is an amazing feature and makes the hotel look very grand. The rooms are clean and well equipped with a safe, trouser press, ironing board and a very handy fan. The old windows let the room down otherwise a great hotel

Great location for early/late trains north or south if you're travelling across /through the Highlands. I could leave a suitcase with them as I went further north for a day before travelling on. The room was okay, a single room with a wall heater, so cold when I arrived but it soon heated up. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Lovely stay as usual. One night stay as we were heading to Glasgow for flight next day. Room was on alley side so bit noisy and bathroom was Baltic but the room was warm and cosy. Staying again on our way back from hols in Jan. I love this hotel and tbh would not want to stay anywhere else if I can get in there.

Beds to close together. Room more like a single with 2 beds pushed in. I booked a twin room. Sour milk in the room cracks in walls. Window wedged open by curtain. Breakfast not included so an added extra. I had just done the north coast 500 and very sad to say this was the mist expensive but also the most disappointing hotel we stayed in on our tour.
