right at the port where there are places to roam and very close to some beaches (old jaffa and southern beaches on the other end but still assessible). nicest hostel i have ever stayed at - clean, airy, private, modern, equipped with more than any other hostel i've been at, and private but with plenty of opportunities to get to know people. i didn't get the chance to enjoy the breakfast-which i heard was great and i only wish i got to stay longer!

The Spot is a great hostel if you are not necessarily looking for a party hostel. The location is not in the city centre, but it is still in a great place, surrounded by restaurants and bars, next to the sea, and a beautiful promenade. Amenities and dorms were exquisite, even luxurious compared to other hostels I have stayed in. There didn't seem to be a very alive vibe, but I was there post-Covid & in low-season, so take that into account. Would def recommend!

The hostel itself is beautiful. I stayed in a private bedroom with shared bathroom, and both were very clean. The bed was as hard as rock and I woke up with my back hurting - other than that, it was worth it for the price. As for the staff, I arrived at noon and there was nobody there in the reception. I called the hostel and nobody picked up, having to wait 15min to drop my luggage. I asked the closest train station to go to Haifa, and later I found out they sent me to a much further one...

The hostel has a very cool ambience, but the rooms can be quite humid due to lack of windows. The staff is incredibly attentive and responsive. Breakfast is quite pricey but good.

In order to give my feedback I had to give stars to things I didn’t really experience. I only experienced the front desk person on the phone after numerous attempts to actually speck to someone in English. The restrictions to Israel are super strict so I sadly never made it to the hostel. Person at airport just kept giving me a very hard time about a European Green Pass I needed to have but I’m not European. I’m American, and had been traveling through Europe for two months with all Covid up to date shot information that satisfied all Green Pass requirements. Anyway, some back in forth that went nowhere with the staff. The guy basically said to me that he didn’t care either way that I’m calling to let him know that for the moment I will not be showing up at the front desk to check in. Seemed like the polite thing for me to do. Told me to call whoever I used to book the reservation and that’s about what happened. It’s a bit difficult to get in touch with someone from website. Tried to do that with no actual remedy or anything of the situation. Kind of strange. That’s my story.

    Very Good

Pros: great location, cool reception, beds were comfortable, some staff members were kind and competent Cons: no hand soap in bathrooms which is a bit disturbing this close to the pandemic. Pillows are flat. For the overall high cost of the dorm beds, charging $15USD to rent a towel seems extractive.

Kitchen is not equipped, you need to bring utensils, plates etc. Capsules are loud (closing doors, walls). In the capsule you have privacy, but it’s a dark hole (no windows), the halls are super dark, too. I would never do it again. A decent dorm with no privacy, but a bit of space, a window, light…is way better. It’s more of a hotel with a basic kitchen, but not worth to be called hostel. It’s hard to meet people, there’s a big bar, but that’s really not the same as a good common area.
