I think The Tent is maybe my favorite place I've ever been. It's especially great as a solo traveler as it's super easy to make friends around the campfire or just hanging around the site. I don't think I've been as genuinely sad to leave a place as I was to leave here. The location isn't ideal, but it's very easy to get to and from the city center it just takes a little time. I was a little wary at first of booking this place but it exceeded my wildest expectations and I'm so thrilled I did

We loved our stay at The Tent! The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly, and the location was perfect if you feel like getting away from city life for a little bit. They made our trip to Munich very memorable, and we’re already wanting to go back.

Absolutely love The Tent! Great people, fun atmosphere - a wonderful way to meet people. Bonfire every night (though lights out at 1am). Free street parking available. Spotty WiFi.

First hostel I ever stayed at, had some of the most fun meeting people and playing guitar by the nightly bonfire. Location isn't all that wondrous, but neither are the Munich ticket checks, so that isn't much of a problem. Visited as a solo traveller and had a fantastic time. Great staff, great atmosphere, great vibe.

The tent is excellent, a truly unique hostel compared to every other I've stayed in. It's also a camp site so it's perfect for people on a road trip and not just backpackers. There is a strict no noise after 1am policy which is good. It's close to the palace and botanical gardens so you don't have to travel too far to see some tourist attractions. Also there is a pedestrian underpass on the main road near the tent which has some excellent street art.

    Very Good

The place is a bit far out of central Munich but you can there easily by tram and bus. I’m not sure if it shows up hear but you can get a cheaper price if you go to the website and opt to have no bed and instead sleep on a mat (I would have if I had known). There aren’t that many plugs but that’s understandable because it’s a tent - there are charging stations but if you want more security you can charge it at reception. I underestimated how cold it gets at night - so layer up.

Very friendly staff and a chill vibe. It is very close to the Nymphenburg palace and the botanical garden, but everything else is a bit far. At night, it gets VERY cold, but you can ask for more blankets. The bathroom and tent looks pretty clean, but I did see a mouse in the tent one morning. Tends to get loud at night, but quiets down at 1AM. It was inconvenient that we couldn’t charge our phones inside the tent.
