Lovely hotel! We got a double room, ensuite and breakfast included, for £40, which is amazing value! The room was very nice and spacious with a beautiful huge window and a nice bed. Everything seemed clean and well kept. The hotel was still being refurbished (the walls were being painted in the hallways), but this didn't cause us any problems at all. The reception staff were very lovely and helpful and nice to talk to. The location is great with a lovely restaurant in the artschool very close by

I’m easy to please but my literal only complaint about this place was the water pressure from the shower head in my room. It was pretty weak, but this seems like a simple fix. Otherwise, this place was very useful and fun: free breakfast from 7-9, strong WiFi in my room all the way upstairs, the building is very cute, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the location is very good given that it’s basically in the center of what seems like downtown Glasgow

Was everything we needed for our stay! Breakfast was good with a fair selection and the staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. The location was great! Close to bus and train lines and shopping district.

Really enjoyed my stay here, great facilities and so clean, nice staff and a good location - excellent value for money! The only negative was the other guests, a family in the room above mine kept me awake until 2am (on a Sunday)! But of course this was not the fault of the hotel so I will be sure to book in here again.

This is more of a hotel than a hostel. Breakfast was included in the price, which might have been low because the property is currently renovated or because the guests were scarce in February or both. We were generally happy during our stay & the location was convenient for walks in the heart of the city. One drawback is the lack of elevator when some rooms are located on the 3rd floor - imagine having to carry a big suitcase all the way up! Luckily we had only backpacks & small suitcases.

    Very Good

    23 Jul 2019
The hostel is quite big, and is undergoing refurbishments, which would have been nice to know beforehand. Nevertheless, these never really got in the way of the stay, and I presume the rather generous free full Scottish Breakfast might be a compromise for the bother. Location is very good, within walking distance from the center and the West End. Staff could've been friendlier, and the atmosphere was a bit stiff-- but overall a good and clean (in the bedrooms) place to stay in town.

They are undergoing major renovations right now. The carpet is a mess and is coming up in areas on the stairs. I didn't recall reading this on the site. If they just informed ahead of time it would've been better. Also, staff was literally pouring herself a bowl of cereal while snapping at guests that breakfast was over. Then several staff ate right in front of guests they had just denied breakfast. My room was fine and clean, but facilities and staff were disappointing.

Under renovation, so was very dusty, and our shower was leaking all over the bathroom floor. There was also someone blasting their tv/YouTube most of the night. Not really a social place either, more of an older crowd. I would stay again to see what was improved after the reno.

This hotel needs to reopen when the refurbishment is complete! Until then it shouldnt to be open to the public (especially at full price!) The lobby area, dining hall, breakfast and my room itself were perfectly fine and I would return to those parts again.. HOWEVER i wish i could add photos to show the building site in the corridors. walls were stripped bare, exposed electrics hanging, holes in the wall, carpets were thick with dust, workmen everywhere, stairs with no carpet and half broken!

In the middle of renovations, charges full price. Small bed, thin walls.
