Brand new hostel so some things are still being worked out but overall, absolutely incredible with amazing staff. I really enjoyed my stay here. Extended my stay but wished I could have stayed longer!! I met so many people in the common areas (which is really nice as a solo traveler). Beds were comfortable and private, white noise fans were a blessing for cancelling out noisy guests, kitchen was big and well equipped. Lucy at the bar was the best, and very knowledgeable about Oax.

Ticuchi hostel was great for us. Wonderful nice and helpful staff, a great outdoors common area with a nice pool, plenty of toilets and baths and an overall great vibe. Plenty of space to both chill and hangout and meet new people! Also very nicely located and Ticuchi also helped us stay safe in the city while there was muggings and robberies going on in the city! Nice cheap bar as well.

Ticuchi hostel is an amazing place to base yourself while in Oaxaca city. Beds are comfortable, facilities are top and the internet is super fast (100+ MB, the 3rd network they have, next to the bar). The bar closes somewhat early so it was never an issue to get a good night's sleep. The location is right in the city centre, just some blocks away from the main attractions and bus station. Staff and volunteers are nice and friendly, all in all, a superb place to stay.

Very nice hostel with it being newer and more modern. It even has a pool although I didn’t see anyone use it. The WhatsApp group was not that active when I was there.

Good location. Good vibes. No food available but good bar. Beds have no side shelf to keep stuff. Toilets can get a bit messy as they are all outside. Totally a smoker’s hostel. You just can’t escape the smoke especially in the common areas.

Ticuchi is a nice place to stay in Oaxaca. It’s a social kinda party hostel. Nice design, decoration, big spaces. For sure you will meet cool people. Common areas like bathrooms, kitchen, pool and dorms need to be cleaned thoroughly everyday. Wifi sucks. The 6 bed dorm lacks curtains, therefore, light can enter the room but you have a small curtain in your bed that helps. Some volunteers fall into the category of friendly and unfriendly. In general, I recommend it.

No atmosphere, no one socialises with each other here. Not great for solo travellers. I left early and it tainted my view of Oaxaca. Best shower Ive had in Mexico though.

Not the worst hostel but definitely disappointing. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and poorly designed. The bunks are in a corner to there’s 1 ladder for both beds and there’s no sort of support and I almost fell a couple times trying to get down. The showers were cold and flooded the bathroom after 3 minutes. The also don’t take card and it’s 2022 and not in the middle of nowhere. It’s still new so can fix these things I booked for 5 nights and stayed for 2. I got no sleep both nights.
