Great place all round. Only 2 minor things. Curtains on bunks would be great. Hot water in shower - used to having it but the cool (not cold) showers were refreshing!!!!! Loved my stay and would return.

The staff are very helpful and you can even ask for the hostel to book you a ride to the border or to Thailand. The food choices for breakfast could use a little more variety though. Also a good place to stay as there is staff at the reception 24/7 to assist.

Really nice modern hostel and very clean and spacious dorms. Only thing letting it down is the staff weren’t that helpful or friendly but would definitely stay again.

Stayed at this hostel for 4 nights. Great location, only 10 min walk to Love Lane, Little India, etc. The girls at the front desk were friendly and helpful (printed off everything I needed to renew my Visa). 5 floor is a beautiful common area. Coffee, tea and toast with spreads were available nice and early (7am). The 4bd dorm I stayed in was cleaned daily. Only negative thing I could say is the blankets given out were incredibly small. Overall - Great price, would definitely stay again.

There is a leisure area at fifth floor where we can have leisure activities there. We can read, browse the internet, chit-chat, having some drinks, do some yoga, or just relax our minds there. The scenery is amazing. I have met some new friends there. Appreciate the atmosphere and have a nice stay there. However, the location might be not so strategic to the tourists spots. It takes sometime to reach there. Overall, it's still a good choice if you pay a visit in Penang.

    Very Good

Perfect stay for George Town. In a quieter area, 10 min walk from lively bars and 20 min from the sea/Jetty area. We were able to check in at around 2am after our coach journey from KL which was good of the hostel, reception is 24 hours so not a problem. Staff not the liveliest bunch when checking in/out. Breakfast literally just bread/toast/spread etc. Facilities not the cleanest but super cheap, and would definitely stay again if in the area.

The ladies at reception were actually lovely and really helpful. It was easy checking in and we loved the look of our room when we first arrived but noticed a few problems. The room itself was lovely. The window was cracked open which was a bit of a pain, the air conditioning didn’t work very well and when it got cold it began to leak from the sealing. The WiFi was non existent the entire time we were there unless on top floor. The bathrooms were never cleaned and were disgusting! :/

Wi-Fi doesn't reach the rooms, hatch on locker was broken so couldn't lock, some toilet door locks are broken, only toast for breakfast, absolutely no atmosphere or attempt to create some, loud location. Beds were ok, nice and clean.

Room appears clean but then we saw a mouse in a room on my last day and i found bed bug bites the morning i left. The bathrooms are always covered in hair but i guess that is the down to other guests. Breakfast is also literally just toast, tea and coffee would be very easy to provide fruit as well atleast. Location is great for china town, chulia night market and little india though.
