We invite you to stay with us in our little oasis known as Tillett Gardens, where it's not just a vacation, it's a lifestyle. Tillett Gardens is a community of local business owners providing a little of everything you could want or need, except the beach, but no problem! We are on the local Safari bus ride costing only $2 to get around, and three of the best beaches are just 5-10 minutes away!

Right outside your door Tillett Gardens features four restaurants serving American, Vegan, Pizza, and Dominica cuisine, along with two bakeries serving coffee, donuts, quiches and pastries, an ice cream shop, art classes on Wednesday nights, gift shop, a live performance theater, Live music on the weekends, and a complimentary alarm clock named Baby, who is quite the talkative parrot and believes everyone should rise with the sun for a full day in Paradise. We are centrally located in Tutu, and within walking distance is 24/7 hour gas station/convenience store, Walgreens, Kmart, banks, grocery, and more. There is also an ATM on property.

Our accommodations include bunk beds in shared dorms-both female and male, semi private rooms, and private rooms. We provide free wifi, all spaces have air conditioning, towels/linens/basic soap/shampoo is provided, lockers in the dorms (Bring your own lock!).

    Fabulous

Great central location with easy access to popular beaches via Safari Bus $1 route. The small hostel is situated in Tillet Gardens where there is a cool courtyard, bar, shops, and restaurants. The male dorm had a spacious common area for cooking and chilling out. The only issue I had was the dirty bathroom in the dorm. There was also a mentally ill tenant the first two nights... But that could happen anywhere.

    Very Good

Overall a good place to stay. The location itself is not near anything, but it's at a very central location of a few Safari Bus routes so it's fairly easy to get to pretty much anywhere on the island. Although there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and supermarkets in the area; it's a lively little neighborhood around the hostel. The rooms are kind of basic and the prices are a bit high for a hostel.

    Very Good

I stayed in the all girls dorm room which had a kitchen and living room space but it was weird that everyone had access to the space even those not staying in the dorm. The place was clean enough but as other reviews stated after they clean for your arrival you don’t see them again. The check in process was very informal they don’t really give you any info unless you ask. Mattresses are lumpy and bedroom door is sticky and loud but with the location and the bar/ live music it was good deal.

Located inside Tillett Gardens, which is a cool little area with a few bars/restaurants/shops. Besides that the location is a bit difficult to get around, but thats the whole island. You call when you get there & are let in & shown around, no official check in/out. You do get a towel &sheets, but the bathroom is moldy & the private rooms also have access to the female dorm area/bathroom. Kitchen works ok. I've stayed at much more organized places for less. The appeal here is the price.

This is place itself is not bad if you are on a budget. The only main complaint I have is that they did not clean the bathroom or kitchen during our whole stay, not acceptable.

The owner is friendly but was pretty much absent throughout my stay. The room I got was unprepared and dirty(trash on the floor and dirty, unwashed sheets)as if it hadn''t been cleaned or inspected before I arrived..and the room just smelled awful.I understand that they're trying to rebuild from the aftermaths of the hurricane but thats no excuse for the room to be unprepared before arrival.I should've spent more money&stayed at a hotel instead of this hostel for a better experience in the island.

I cancelled my stay at Rhoda's guest house but did not get a refund of my deposit. I requested online and spoke with Rhoda's guest house over the phone but have not seen the refund to my credit card yet. Please check that out.
