    Superb

Had a really great time here! The front desk was able to make refunds for a double-booking the day of, were flexible about check in times, and helped me call a taxi for the airport. The decor is super cute and there's a lot of lounge space. Our stay in the standard double bed private was super comfortable, like an actual hotel room. Will definitely book again for any future trips to Shanghai!

Great location, the atmosphere is nice and calmed and there are a couple of cool bars close. Breakfast is better than usual hostel breakfast. Would definitely recommend it. The only thing I found unconvinient is how strict they are with arrival time.

    Fabulous

Great hostel in a quiet location along a river perfect for long strolls to the bund or a morning run. Down the street is the Beer Lady a beer hall with some of the best selection of beers domestic and foreign I have seen. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful although limited English, but I am in China so never a better time to adapt and try translation apps. Only downside is the bunk beds are hard and need a better mattress.

    Fabulous

Great location for easy nanjing road! Right on the river, so to a couple very busy pubs. Free breakfast in the morning was great. Beds super thin. Felt like you were sleeping on a plywood board. The whole seating area was scattered around the place that it was really difficult to meet anyone. The “creative area” with the bar looked like a fun area but it was closed at 10! I feel that is a really early time... especially since I was there on Friday/Saturday night.

A very nice hostel. Has a perfect location, only 1 stop from People Square (center). Beds were hard as a rock or at least in the 8 dorm rooms. The staff was so helpfull and very sweet. It wasnt very social though.

    Very Good

Nice staff and value for money. Breakfast isn't good: just bread, butter and couple fruits (and Chinese food like noodles, rice, vegetables...). The orange juice wasn't cold; in some days the coffee ran out and they didn't refill it. I got a private room with bathroom. There is no "shower box", so the entire bathroom gets wet. It's horrible. I stayed 6 nights and they didn't clean the room at all. Just changed the towels and trash can.

    Good

The staff was very friendly and the location was okay but I do not think I would book again. The room looked nothing like the picture and smelt very bad. We had to leave the door open and crank the fan on as fast as it could go to air it out. The towels were stained and I found a dead dried up bug in my bed. For what we spent for the night, we could have stayed in a 4-4.5 star hotel in the area.

The location is nice, the beds in the dorm are like sleeping on the floor. The frount desk people are nice. The old lady that runs the so called bar area is very rude. The area is the only spot with good lounges. One night she kicked my out at 8pm and told me it's closed. Only to find local (china people) in ther 20 minutes later. The wifi is very spotty sometimes it works sometimes it dose not. Overall due to the beds and the old lady i cannot recommend this place.

Very average. They have a bar that I never seen open. They did have a fridge with beer in it near reception that. But the drinks were all virtually warm. Private room was very expensive. But I guess it’s a big city. When I stayed in the dorm room I wasn’t satisfied with the cleanliness and layout of the bathroom. Got out of there as soon as I could.

Staff were friendly but didnt speak english to effectively answer questions, they couldnt book a taxi for me to the airport. Room was on directly next to the main entrance and shared bathroom so I was always disturbed. Glass window over the door meant that the light from the reception (always on) came into the room at night. There were no windows and limited ventilation from a fan (only powered when the key card was there and me in the room) meaning the room was always damp and mouldy.
