Property Description

The Travellers’ Garden Hostel is in a central and convenient location. All the trips to Iguazu Falls National Park leave from the bus station, which is only 2 minutes walk from the hostel - or one block up over the Avenida Cordoba. The hostel is also only two blocks from the Down Town, where all the bars, restaurants, souvenir shops and the two supermarkets are located! Also. the bus to the Triple Frontiers leaves from Centro too. On the other hand, the Panoramic Casino Hotel - and view of the river from there - is in a easy walking distance. Some people also walk to the 3-Frontier site.

The whole hostel has a lovely laid-back atmosphere with spacious garden and under-cover patio. There are many hammocks or individual table chairs where you can just chill, either in total privacy or together with others if you prefer!

The staff are all very friendly, fun and extremely helpful. There is a communal kitchen available for guests to use, a bar and barbeque, free WIFI, cable TV, Netflix and a book exchange/library.

There are 3 dorm rooms (1x 4-beds, 2x 8-beds). They are comfortable and spacious with bunk beds only two high.
All in all, Travellers Garden is a perfect and very reasonably-priced hostel from which to explore Puerto Iguazu. Please come by to see for youself!

The staff were class, I recommend being able to speak decent Spanish to be able to properly experince this hostel properly. Good for short trips, bearing in mind there were cock roaches in the bathroom the overall enjoyment in the beautiful garden hammocks and sitting areas definitely overruled this.

Great location and the staff were nice and helpful but quite a basic hostel - was good for just a short stay (has a nice look and feel to it with all the hammocks and that but could be cleaner)

This hostel was extremely dirty. The staff were not helpful and did the absolute bare minimum. I ended up getting bed bugs. Luckily I only stayed 1 night in this hostel.

Worst hostel we have stayed in 6 months. Hostel is filthy, our toilet didn’t have toilet paper in it, facilities are gross, toilets smell really bad of urine like a public toilet, I was assigned a bed and got home to someone else sleeping in my bed which he said the manager told him was free. So I slept in another bed and got bed bugs from it. I had the worst sleep I’ve ever had, being so uncomfortable from the dirt. Don’t make the mistake we did and just pay the extra dollars!

Hideous hostel, none of the beds were changed in the dorm room, myself and my friend got bed bugs from here. Bites from head to toe, level of cleanliness isn’t even up to basic standard! The 2 staff members slept in the dorm room and got showers at 4am, didn’t feel particularly safe! DO NOT STAY HERE!

The only upside to this hostel was its location. While waiting for my Brazilian visa, I ended up staying at three hostels in Puerto Iguazú. This was by far the worst, not only in the city, but of anywhere I’ve traveled in SA. The rooms were tiny with beds with no top sheet or blanket and not enough room to even open your bag as everyone’s bags only fit in one corner. The bathroom was filthy with a clogged sink and horrible smell. I booked for an all female dorm but a man was in one bed. No WiFi
