We only stayed here one night but it was the perfect place to go after a long day and a half of traveling! My husband & I had a private room and my brother stayed in the dorm. The room was clean & the receptionist Henry was so accommodating & friendly when we arrived. There was a shuttle service from the airport which helped the process of getting to the hostel be easy & smooth. Breakfast was yummy & fresh fruit. Location was awesome, felt super safe in and outside the building! 10/10!

Had a great stay here. Forgot to tell the staff our flight was getting in very late (2am) and there was delays so we didn’t get there till closer to 3:30 and they left a light on and opened the door right away after we rang the bell. Breakfast was simple but yummy and everyone was super nice and friendly!

This hostel is situated in a very safe neighbourhood. The staff are extremely helpful and look out for your best interest. I cancelled a tour because of hidden charges not written in the brochure. The staff supported me through the whole process. I laid all my money on the table to help with my refund. Still learning about colones. Total honesty was how my transaction was handled. Hot water in the shower! Some repairs being done but not an inconvenience.

I really liked the privacy curtains on the bunk beds. Many choices for breakfast. Hostel has a lot of information about tours and public transport. The hostel didn't feel costarican, everybody speaks English and the prices are in dollars. I guess that's just how Costa Rica is. Overall a great place to chill.

My stay here was overall enjoyable! The staff were great and the service outstanding. The only issue I thought was, no fruit shops around the area, not many vegan options or fruit for breakfast, though they did make beans and rice for me on two days. There was burning hot water, probably the first in all of Costa Rica, which was a plus. The internet was great in certain areas, but in other areas like the top floors where I slept, it was very so slow. At times the place was a bit messy.

Above average in terms of Costa Rican hostels. Breakfast was good, atmosphere was pleasant. Stayed here for 5 days before returning back to the States. San Jose does, indeed, suck. There is not much to do when compared to other major cities in Central America. Not the hostels fault.

Really nice hostel but not many outdoor areas, have to smoke on the street outside the front of the hostel. Nice dorms and good kitchen, pool table and tv too!!

I was alone in the hostel due to covid so dont think i got a true experience. The beds were comfortable, staff were great and it was in a good location. Downsides were it looked like the kitchens and bathrooms werent cleaned for a while when i was there and i didnt see the free breakfast. It was fine, probably better when busier.

The staff is wonderful but the place not very clean. The bathrooms smell and are very dirty. The bunk beds are not very comfortable. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
