Nice place, I have been to a lot of hostels and this is a good one! Small, but nice kitchen, good location, interesting guests and interesting staff! If you need a lot of privacy this is maybe not the best place, but its great if you are social and want to meet people. Recommended.

A good hostel with an excellent location. There were some things to be fixed such as the bathroom light and the toilet door lock... Cooking facilities were OK. Can be a nice place to meet people.

It was a very cozy and homey atmosphere! It would have been nice if there were locks on the room doors. There was only the code to get into the building. But it wasn't a problem and everyone was super nice!

A bit expensive, but there are not many other options. We met some really nice people there, so the atmosphere is quite good. Kitchen has everything you need, but is nothing special. Good location, but then again tromsø is quite small, so that comes naturally. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cool dog

It's a nice hostel. A bit pricey, but this is Norway. The location is perfect. In general I found the place to be very clean. The kitchen was a decent size. The bed was comfortable. The bathrooms were nice but incredibly tiny, and the showers quickly shut off without interaction. There's no lockbox in the rooms. I stayed in the gray building, separate from the building with reception and common area, so it was a bit quiet and not terribly social. But I found this to be nice and relaxing.

    Very Good

The door lock codes don't change so anyone who has ever stayed there could easily key in the code and enter. Our room is only a few steps from the entrance and there's rarely anyone at the reception, which is understandable. But I wish they could invest in a key card system. I know it's Norway, but if someone screwed up on the head can enter the house that easily, what's to stop them from picking up people's phones and cameras while they sleep?

You can notice that this hostel is not built to welcome you inside. The common spaces are very limited, the toilets too few (2 super small ones for 5 dorms), the kitchens poorly equipped (as in there are 2 pans and 3 plates). The hostel is divided in two buildings, one of them does not even have a communal room, if you can, ask to stay in the blue house which is a bit more modern and cozy. Mediocre cleaning. Staff: Teresa is a sweetie and really helpful, however reception is open only after 16.
