Okay place to stay. Good kitchen facilities. But the place was quiet and every person seemed to be in our dorm. Also when you check out at 10am you cannot re-enter to use kitchen etc.

    Very Good

    23 Sep 2019
The hostel room was clean and comfortable with a good heater. Unfortunately, the common areas were incredibly cold which made them unpleasant to be in. The kitchen was poorly equipped, we could only find 2 glasses. The hostel can't be blamed for the cleanliness of the guests, but we found the kitchen to be dirty, dirty plates left in or by sinks and workbenches had bits of food on them. The bathroom was so cold that I didn't shower for 2 days.

    Very Good

The kitchen is modern and has heaps of space. All the knives are blunt which was a bit of a challenge. There are plenty of little common , some chilled others sociable. No dramas just nothing special.

They totally take advantage of the fact they’re the only hostel in town. The place feels like an abandoned hospital, the kitchens are pretty dirty and the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. I’ve never been to a hostel that makes you pay to store you luggage in a locker.

Kind of the only show in town in Invercargill. The dorms were nice and the beds comfy but the common areas were very grubby. Not so much a backpacker hostel either - seemed to have a lot of long term guests. The artwork in the halls is a must see though! Had to pay to keep bags on check out though (we just left them in the lobby and they were fine).
