The hostel was wonderful but Rafael was amazing. He helped me book tours, took me around the city, got me my taxi back to the airport, and was so helpful. She made my stay amazing. Pasta was nice it was clean and in a great location. I couldn't ask for more in a youth hostel.

This hostel was amazing! Christian was a great host and knew everything about the city. When all of Trujillo lost water, he bought five-gallon containers of it so we wouldn’t be without while the city fixed the issue. There was food in the kitchen, too, and it was just an all-around fantastic experience.

The staff is kind and helpful. he did kindly answered whatever I asked. You can get to city center, bus stops for Chan Chan and Huaca del Sol by walking from the hostel. I will choose thre if I come back to Turjillo.

The hostel has a great location and staff which is the biggest bonus. The kitchen is clean and easy to use. Beds are comfortable. Cons: There has obviously been some maintenance work but no clean up of rubble or dust. One of our beds had dust and wood from the beams above. Bed mattresses need replacing. Flys/bugs in bathrooms (harmless however) A overall deep clean, tidy up and some TLC is needed throughout the whole property. We would stay there again if the place was more tidy.

DON'T STAY HERE! The only good things about this place are the location and the staff. The one bathroom for the whole hostel reeks like old pee and the rooms like kitty litter. There was a cat in the room. I have stayed in over a dozen hostels in Peru and this is certainly the worst experience I have had. The hostel is tiny and doesn't even have a single sign to let you know you're at a business. I have stayed at cheaper hostels in Peru that were cleaner, more spacious, and had better amenities.
