This hostel was amazing. The staff were lovely, everything was easy and chill and the facilities were outstanding. Everyone has a light and USB port by their bed, the rooms are large and spacious and there's lockers to put your stuff in. The kitchen is huge (lots of places to sit), and there's even a TV/cinema room with bean bags. I sadly only had one night here but that was enough for it to become my favourite hostel yet. Will definitely stay again. (Also, free pancakes in the morning is 10/10)

It's really central to everything in Melbourne and the staff is really helpful. But the lack of AC in the rooms makes it VERY stuffy and difficult to sleep comfortably. It's also mostly people who are there on a work visa for a long term stay, so it can be hard to find people to explore with.

Hostel in a great location & central. Unfortunately two male staff members in the reception were rude & intimidating. Both repeatedly pressured me to book onto tours so they could get commission. I pushed back repeatedly but their behaviour was unacceptable. They “mansplained” & tried to pressure me to travel at a pace which I was not comfortable. In this day and age, not acceptable. Younger female travellers may have been negatively affected by this. Being told I was “difficult” isn’t on.

The hostel is ok but BE AWARE the reception runs a SCAM scheme where they will PRESSURE YOU TO BUY a buss pass, Fraser Island or Whitsunday tours. They tell you it’s always sold out and magically it’s available. They are affiliated to Happy Travels. They take advantage of you because your a backpacker and your guard is down. They say their helping you plan you - they are not - they are the lowest kind of human beings, they sell you things which cost double the price compared too other websites

Staff were very passive aggressive and everything seemed forced. Hard to relax and hard to sleep. Atmosphere was abusive. A rare few guests made the place feel somewhat safe. The lack of manners and common courtesy/consideration was quite a shock to the senses. Would only recommend this place to those that enjoy a rockstar lifestyle.
