Absolutely loved my time at this hostel! Nestled in the middle of the jungle has a grounding, open, loving atmosphere packed full with some of the most lovely people!! Delicious food, water refill, yoga, cacao farm, gym +outdoor activities it's everything you could need! Had booked only 2 nights and had a hard time leaving after spending nearly a week, big love ❤️

Excellent hostel! Set deep in the jungle and truly an incredible experience. The staff were top shelf. The menu is sufficient. Some really great dishes...a little pricey for food, but to be honest it’s fair prices, considering it’s in the jungle. And the cost of rooms are super reasonable. Overall, this hostel is top shelf - all the amenities you need - even a volleyball court, fire pit, and gym! Awesome tours and activities as well!

Amazing stay! It’s definitely a trek to get to and from Utopia from the nearest town (Lanquin) but it’s totally worth it as the trip to/from town is an adventure in itself! That said, you’ll be relying on the property itself for everything - food (vegan), water (provided), transportation, etc. The place is staffed with the most interesting people from around the world who may vary in how social they are but all have great stories to share (+ lots of cute doggos). Definitely worth a visit!

Very good wifi for such a remote location! I loved the vegetarian food and desserts here. Only real negative is that the bathrooms are located on the first floor, and sleeping rooms are located on the second floor, so you need to use the stairs to go to the bathroom.

We had a blast. There is everything you need and the place is beautiful. met amazing people, had a very good time doing the tubing with people from the hostel. One of my best memory in Guatemala. But, the prices were more expensive than average which really “sucked” because we had not many options since we are in the middle of the jungle. It was the most expensive 2 days that we had in Guatemala. Food servings were not reflective of the prices. The stay is cheap but the rest you should be carefu

Cool styled hostel, staff were really friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant and bar which is good, it’s all vegetarian which is fine for me but not for everyone. Downside is there is no kitchen to cook your own food so you must eat at the restaurant.

The communal area is great and staff are pleasant. There are no cooking facilities and as it’s way out of town you have to rely on their quite pricey food (which was tasty). The dorm I stayed in was just a wooden frame covered in dirty canvas. The mattress was thin and the sheet didn’t fit properly which made for two bad nights sleep. There was no WiFi, even though it was advertised as having it. There is a general belief there is WiFi, but they switch it off. Location was great for Semuc Ch

I have been trying to cancel this repeatedly. I am not in Guatemala or have I stayed at Utopia Eco Hostel in Lanquin, Guatemala. I have sent an identical email, trying to get this canceled and money refunded to my original payment. Thank you.
