Absolutely loved my time at this hostel! Nestled in the middle of the jungle has a grounding, open, loving atmosphere packed full with some of the most lovely people!! Delicious food, water refill, yoga, cacao farm, gym +outdoor activities it's everything you could need! Had booked only 2 nights and had a hard time leaving after spending nearly a week, big love ❤️

This is one of those places where you can get stuck for a while. If you have the time, calculate a bit more for that place! Some volunteers from different countries are working here and they also enjoy their work and the place. That means you're surrounded from great nature and good vibes. I also loved the Outdoor Gym.

I loved this place the second I set foot in the open air dining room. The 45min bumpy ride from Lanquin was completely worth it, and I ended up extending my stay to 7 nights instead of 3. I stayed in a simple yet comfortable 4 bed dorm for very cheap, which balances out having to buy all your meals from their restaurant. This place is more of an experience than a hostel in my opinion. A retreat from the world, with the forest, the river, yoga classes, cacao tours, and almost no wifi. Excellent!

A really amazing place far out in the jungle. It's definitely worth the extra effort to get to Utopia rather than staying in the town of Lanquin itself as it's closer to Semuc Champey and the town doesn't have much going on. There is a free shuttle to the hostel that collects you from Lanquin. The shuttle drivers will be waiting for all the busses to arrive. The food is all vegetarian and very nice but it is expensive. The shuttle should be free back to Lanquin after check out but it costs 25Q.

Cool styled hostel, staff were really friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant and bar which is good, it’s all vegetarian which is fine for me but not for everyone. Downside is there is no kitchen to cook your own food so you must eat at the restaurant.

Gorgeous property and stunning views of the jungle. Most of the staff is friendly but found a few volunteers to be quite rude. Only downside is that the hostel is in a remote location, an arduous journey to reach, and no food options available other than at the restaurant.

The current staff is really awesome, mostly volunteer based, with a local kitchen crew. They are the best part of the hostel, for they are super friendly and engaging. Just be ready to spend a lot of money on food. Outside options are limited, and they are strict on their no outside food rule. Lack of competition has them charge very high prices for food. Family dinners are 70q, and they are just mediocre. At other hostels, 50q. Also staff is very pushy to sell the overpriced tours/packages

This is a nice, clean, tidy and pretty hostel, just a little out of the way. Unfortunately, its location leaves you without a shop and alternative options. The food is very expensive (Q70 evening meal, Q15-20 coffee), although vegetarian, it's largely unhealthy with pizza, fried cheese and gluten as staples. The staff are friendly but when they ran out of Hummus for the platter, we asked for replacement Guacamole which magically had run out as well. The Yoga space and teachers are amazing!
