Didn't arrive till after 9pm so we mailed Venice star and after sending some documents they sent us an easy-to-follow self check-in guide. Found it quite easy using Google maps on my phone, considering it was dark when we got there it was easy to locate with the help of my phone gps. Very secure with multiple locked doors before you get to your room. Very clean and provided us with a basic free breakfast of toast tea cereal etc Loved my first hostel experience. Can't wait for the next one!

Venice is a complicated maze if you are new to the area. Use your GPS navigation. It is a historical city and maintained as such. Location is about 25 minutes walk from the train station. Lots of designer shopping. Restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and deli’s everywhere. Only water bus (vaporetto) transportation on the main island. Private en-suite with amenities were well-appointed. Finding the place was a challenge, be sure to check the address to check in on your reservation confirmation.

Nice place to put my head down for the night. Clean and has AC though it wasn’t working when we were there we at least had a fan which did the job. The reception was a bit odd as it was detached and a 5 minute walk from the Venice star. Overall a was nice and a good jumping off point as everything was a 20 minute walk away.

    Fabulous

Overall was pretty pleasant experience. They had a problem with our original room but put us in another room without a problem. The new room was really nice and other than the AC which worked but wasn’t really strong. Room would get cool during the day but as soon as we were in the room it started to get warm. Additionally WIFI didn’t exactly reach the room but had good wifi signal from the lobby. Overall pleasant experience. And he staff was really helpful

    Fabulous

The location is perfect in Venice, the room is dark and that´'s ok because the weather was too hot and it helped to keep the room cooler. My only complaint would be the bathroom, very small and the water of the shower is everywhere after you finish. On the good side, they also have a kitchen and free coffee and tea as well as some food for breakfast which is a great plus!. Overall I'm happy with my stay and would recommend if you are looking for basic accommodation close to touristic attractions.

Was put in a different room. Didn't get a double bed and was made to pay cash which sucks when you get ripped off by a Venice ATM. Apart from that the staff were cool and everything was clean.

The rooms primarily rely on their location as their major asset as the facilities are extremely basic and the bathroom especially was shabby and badly needed refurbishing. We also had bugs in our bed which was very unpleasant. Security is weak as there is only an automatic code for the outside door which could be passed to anyone and then a kind of common storage area to leave luggage which relies on a bolt. Staff in the other hotel where you have to check in we’re obliging and friendly.

Check-in was horrendous, office is far from the address on hostel world and you’re made to pay in cash on top of a full price deposit which is returned to your account on check out. Meaning we needed to have €750 available for our 8 night stay. We’re low budget backpackers so it was a nightmare trying borrow money to pay it. Hostel was basic but clean and breakfast was provided. 2 members of staff were very friendly. Not worth the hassle and hardly a budget hostel with the payment policy. 4/10

This is really pushing it for a budget accommodation; yes it’s cheap but the beds feel like cardboard, there’s no form of reception, the induction job takes ages to heat up (it took me over 40 mins to boil water, so take “cooking facilities” with a pinch of salt). Location was good but I did not feel safe in the hostel, doors would constantly rattle and bang. Worth spending a little more money and going somewhere else. Also they hold a charging fee on your card, takes ages to get it refunded
