Start the day with free breakfast before jumping in on one of the hostel's organised tours. You can learn to shake your hips at our salsa lessons, gallop down the beach on horseback or simply join in on a walking tour of the city. There's plenty going on back at the hostel too. Tuck into grilled meat and veggies at our nightly barbecues, or settle in for a board game party before sharing the best tales from your trip over a beer at our bar.

Tucked in Colonia's historic centre, we're a 5-minute walk from the city's iconic lighthouse. From there you'll get incredible views across the city and Río de la Plata. When you're hungry, stop into the nearby beer houses, restaurants and cafés. We're easy to find, at just 15 minutes from the airport by taxi and a 13-minute walk from the ferry terminal if you're arriving by boat.

Very good hostel. Staff was nice and helped us book for the same hostel in Montevideo. 10% discount for booking with both and both are great and reccommendable.

Definitely a bit on the pricey side for a private room, but I'm learning that that's just the cost of Uruguay. Breakfast was basic but included. Excellent location central to the ferry terminal and most of the main attractions of Colonia.

Hermoso hostel en cuanto a diseño, ubicación y sobre todo la integración y buena onda del staff! Cuando regrese a Colonia me volveré a hospedar en este hostel, sin lugar a dudas. Excelente todo!!

Stayed for a couple of nights. As it was winter, it was really quiet and there was not much going on, however this is understandable at this time of year. The courtyard is really pretty and would be great in summer! Rooms were clean and breakfast was basic but good value for money if you want something to keep you going. Only negative was that the rooms were really cold, even with a few blankets on. Also the bathrooms are in the courtyard so it’s a chilly walk in the night.

A nice hostel. Fast WiFi, beds are comfortable. Breakfast was very good for the price. Security seemed good and bathrooms were clean. Only negative is there isn’t much social vibe here (although that is also partly because it’s low season and most people only stay 1 night passing through Colonia)

Super cute hostel! Visited during low season, so was pretty quiet at the time. The place is really pretty - lots of nice spaces and plants and colours. Great kitchen, and really REALLY nice showers!! Been a while since I’ve found one that great (that also doesn’t run out of hot water). Very friendly and helpful staff.

Fui con una amiga por una noche. El staff es amable, no pasamos frío, es limpio. Al ser un destino de paso no había mucha atmósfera social, probablemente en verano hay más. Lo negativo es que la cama no era muy cómoda, el resto estuvo bien.

It’s a good hostel and I’d definitely go in the summer. However, in the winter it gets cold because everything is in the open. Going to the bathroom at night is not fun.

My issue with this hostel is that there was a Salsa band blasting very loud music until 1am on a Sunday night, making it impossible to sleep until they stopped. To be honest, the band was fantastic and I would have enjoyed if I didn't plan to be up early to go to Montevideo the next day. They basically decided for everyone staying there when they were allowed to go to bed which was inconsiderate. Also you had to go outside to get to the bathroom and it was cold. Overall negative experience.
