(pre-covid) A very chill hostel in a lovely small town. There isn't much happening in Colonia, but if you just want to clear your mind and hang out, maybe meet a few cool people, this is the place for you! Staff didn't speak much English and the interaction was very limited, but they were friendly nonetheless. I remember the ladies preparing breakfast being especially friendly with a lot of smiles.

This is a really nicely designed hostel in the middle of town. The rooms are perfectly comfortable with AC, and the beds are pretty comfy. I can’t say there is an overly social atmosphere but it’s very chill and friendly. The only negative for me was that the optional breakfast needs to be covered at all times as I went back to refill and a hoard of flies were touching all items of food one morning.

This hostel is very pretty and really well Located for the old town. The staff were friendly and there was even live music on one of the nights which was lovely. Although this hostel is popular it’s not too loud. Can absolutely see why it has such good reviews.

Lovely hostel, my bunk bed was really comfy.. There are no lockers in the room or key for the front door, though theres a receptionist out front 24 hours .. the optional breakfast was good and its and easy walk to the historic town.. I booked 2 nights stopover between BA and Montevideo but felt that 1 would have been enough to see the old town, most others seemed to just stay 1 night, explore the town and leave on a late ferry/bus.

Staff were really friendly. Location is perfect for access to the ferry port and also to the old town. The atmosphere wasn’t too busy, but I think this may have been the general feel for the town. The kitchen was good and so was the WiFi. I wouldn’t stay more than one night as there wasn’t much to do but I’d recommend the hostel.

    Very Good

This has the potential to be such an awesome hostel. It is in a great location, the bunks are comfortable and the rooms spacious but the security is very lax, no lockers and no key to get into the hostel. Also the number of toilets for the hostel is very low, you can be waiting some time to pop to the loo.
